He's had fifteen seasons, a championship and earned millions of pounds, cant say I'l feel too sorry for him if he's out of a drive.

Sadly looks that way, mclaren now seem to want a 1-2 driver line up, so not sure how that sits with Ron's i get the two best drivers i can, because that would be Button and Alonso at the moment on the market

Jenson Button says there is no guarantee he would accept a new deal to stay at McLaren, even if the Formula 1 team does eventually decide to keep him.

In a way it would be funny if, after all this messing around, McLaren were left without a top driver for next season.

He will definitely be in the sport - wonder if he might commentate on the BBC?!

Hmm, could Mclaren be going GT racing next season, aiming for a class win at Le Mans? Could Jenson do that?

Jenson grid walk pushing Brundle out the way and asking Alonso awkward questions? "So Fernando 14th on the grid and out qualified again by KMag. How you finding this years McLaren?"

Running to the commentary box with DC "Come on old man keep up!" biggrin

So why doesn't he simply resign now and be done with it?
Better still, wait until Alonso's deadline runs out and the deal is pulled, then as they ask him to sign for another year or two, give them the finger and leave them in the st hehe

That would be most amusing. As I said previously on this thread I reckon he a much better chance of winning LeMan and a WEC title with Porsche than another F1 WDC with McLaren. Arguably the 2009 F1 WDC + a LeMans win is a more prestigious combination for those with a passion for motorsport than 2x F1 WDC.

If he were to sign with Porsche who would they bin? Brendon Hartley was criticised round these parts after LeMan this year.
