Vettel looked pretty glum on the podium.

Probably sees a hard season shaping up.
And being a racing driver, is probably annoyed that he wasn’t allowed past LeClerk earlier.
Quite rightly too. If they were going to do it they should have done it earlier, not after Vettel had damaged his tyres running behind.

More unfathomable strategy from Ferrari.

Yeah, I guess the battle for #2 team could be pretty interesting if Ferrari keep screwing up. Still not going to pay to watch it live, though wink
Fair enough. I can't claim that was a race worth paying for either..

And yes. The drama this season is now Ferrari Vs Ferrari and/or Ferrari Vs Max.

I'm sure there will also be races where Ferrari challenge Mercedes and win too, but not enough to make the championship battle interesting.

I lost count of how many cars went completely off track, and I only watched 5 minutes of highlights. So much for 'staying on the black stuff.'

I certainly won't bother with the whole race, I'll be watching something more interesting, such as FE. Or paint drying.

People who log on to a forum and post on a thread to say they don't like it and won't watch it - are you the same people who have loud speakerphone conversations with your friends on busses and other public places?

As a racing driver and a number 1 driver probably more annoyed he couldn’t get past leclerc on merit, and then couldn’t pull away when he was allowed past

I thought the race was OK. The previous race was a once or twice a season classic. This was a normal race.

If you don’t like F1, there’s GT racing live on YouTube at the moment. Monza in the rain. Will probably be lots going on.

A disappointing race for a number of reasons:

1. Ferrari shafted Leclerc
2. The Ferraris were not good enough to keep pace with the Mercs
3. Kubica seems worse than I hoped he would be
4. Max showed an almost cool head
5. Ted's Notebook was actually pretty good.

I don’t get it either.

If it’s boring why bitter coming on a discussion forum about it ?

I think it's fair to say it was a fairly disappointing race. Ok, Hamiton got a well-deserved win. Can't take that from him.
After all the fuss about Bottas coming back stronger this year, he's much the same as last year. Some fast laps but lacks a consistent last tenth to put him and keep him ahead.
Vettel is off his game. Too many lock-ups and is being shown on a very similar footing as his new teammate.

I also think it's fair to say that there was a lot of fuss about the 2019 season being different and much closer with regard to racing etc and to be honest, it's pretty much 2018 again to a tee. Too much hype compared to the actual outcomes.

I'm not sure that's entirely fair. Today's race a bit of a let down, but both Melbourne and Bahrain saw an above average amount of overtaking and general action. The new regs have done broadly what they set out to do.

The only disappointment I have this season, based on my prior hopes, is that Ferrari don't seem to be either fast enough or together enough to really worry Mercedes. Having said that, I do see a very interesting situation brewing with one of the Ferrari drivers having to either race the other, or race max pretty much every race. Sooner or later, that is bound to end in drama, or tears.

A race destined to be remembered only for being the one thousandth, and possibly for having two drivers spin off on the warm up lap (and both of them experienced race-winners). Unusually, there wasn't much happening in the midfield either. Not a great advertisement for F1.

So just watched the 1000th Grand Prix

Congrats hamilton on the win

However, what a bore fest honestly i fast forwarded most of it such a dull race. No one is gonna remember the 1000th race apart from hamilton.

No matter how much crofty tried making it exciting it wasnt. Shame as i was looking forward to the 1000th race. Wish it was in texas or abu dhabi..the whole saga even before the grand prix was boring.

I think that if Ferrari is not getting their act together, Bottas might have a chance to get the title. A DNF from Hamilton or a couple of bad races and Bottas is well into the points.

Well after the first couple of races, that was disppointly dull.

I feel a bit sorry for LeClerc in a way but I'm sure he knew what he was getting into when he joined Ferrari to partner Vettel. I'm sure the last race was worse for him.

Had a gap behind him and pitted for fresh tyres to grab it didn’t he?
