The marshalls here aren't at Monaco levels of experience - they've borrowed a load from Bahrain, apparently - but speedy crane operation not a factor there (loads more trackside access). there does seem to be a lack of cranes to lift cars off quickly here though.I think red flag may have been a way to to grab back 6 mins pre F1.

Monaco is the exception, where the track is so short and twisty that they can get enough cranes in to cover a dead car almost anywhere. Longer street circuits can’t get enough cranes in. Official comment from F2 website:
The FIA advises that incident occurred during the FIA Formula 2 Feature Race start today, 05/12/21, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, involving car #10, Théo Pourchaire, and car #14, Enzo Fittipaldi.
The drivers were immediately attended to by emergency and medical crews. The drivers were conscious and extricated by the attending medical crews. Both have been transferred by ambulance and helicopter to King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital, Jeddah.
