And the haters are all out again.............

I have just realised why I left the F1 forum on here alone for so long.

Kimi asking Hamilton if he had won the Championship was quite bizarre.

Does he really not know or was he just trolling Hamilton?

Why was it bizarre and why would he know?

It's not as though Hamilton 3rd Vettel 4th was a predictable result?

Whilst I realize this is probably a plea for attention, it’s troubling to acknowledge that there are still some clowns capable of typing and posting something like this still walking amongst the decent people out there.

Read through this thread and you'll see that there are a few of them.
The funny haircuts and the funny trousers and the 'sulking'. Oh they've had a whale of a time.
Not having such a great time lately though. hehe

To be fair, he's not acted like a bellend much if at all this year. His driving has also been impeccable and Vettel has been poor.
I think you'll find that an awful lot of the people on here are only critical when he (or anyone else) does daft stuff deserving of criticism, rather than being a "hater" as some put it.

Off track I'm not an LH fan, but he'll be a very worthy champion this year. He's performed completely head and shoulders above anyone else on track and has kept the toys firmly in the pram - I'm not sure which is cause and which is effect but the correlation between happy Hamilton and unbeatable Hamilton is a pretty straight line!

I have no objection to someone pointing out if anyone acts like a tosser, but the anti-Hamilton stuff from some folks is just embarrassing. As an unashamed fan of Lewis since he was in Cadet Karts, I take some satisfaction in seeing how unhinged those people must be at seeing the relentless success Hamilton has had for many years. It must be really miserable being anti Hamilton.spin

I've enjoyed this season. There is a lot wrong with F1, but it can still deliver a great race from time to time as we saw yesterday, and watching Hamilton at the peak of his powers is a treat. His pole lap was other-worldly.

I like Max & what he brings to the circus, but needs to step up will be approaching 100 starts next year and only has 4 wins. That’s not the talent we can all see.

It will be interesting to see how Max develops. He clearly has a talent that could potentially be Lewis level. However, he seems to struggle to accept or learn from his mistakes. He looks amazing for a race or two and then does something stupid again. If he can eliminate the stupid, he could be a great driver. Time will tell.

If he wins this year (which looks all but certain), it might be his best championship yet. Slower car for much of the season (including the US!) but numerous poles and a steady stream of good results. Great reliability from Merc, too.

I thought his 2015 one was good where he ended on Hat-gate and truly looked to have made Rosberg miserable in the process of crushing him, although it was notable even at the end of the season that Rosberg seemed to keep up the intensity where Hamilton seemed to cruise more.

Hamilton is already in cruise mode by the looks of things, but it's been the championship of a patient and mature driver throughout, whereas Vettel appears to have combusted under the weight of expectation. Someone at the start of the year was keeping tally of where Max would be if not for his more reckless overtakes early in the season. Can we hypothesise on where Vettel would be now had he bailed on his more costly overtakes this season?

Vettel has certainly thrown a load of advantage straight down the toilet this year, however Hamilton has kept his nerve, and fished it out, polished it, and eaten it up. As Murray Walker famously put it F1 is If spelt backwards ( it isn’t really, but he’s cracking on a bit, so we’ll let him off).
