Lewis Hamilton (Vol. 2)
Discussion
Remember that Ecclestone did donate 1 million quid to labour… although they had to give it back…
It’s not unthinkable that a knighthood was considered (before the scandal). Details here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/937232.stm

Lewis's break from social media is hell for the vast army of F1 quote repeaters. No chance to misquote something he said and fuel new endless arguments.
All we have to chew on is the despicable abu dabi finale lol.
Some f1 news repeaters must have starved to death the last few weeks...

I don’t know why so many famous people feel they need to have a social media presence at all.All we have to chew on is the despicable abu dabi finale lol.
Some f1 news repeaters must have starved to death the last few weeks...
Seems to lead to more grief than benefit.

It' absolute golden. All they have is made up stories about people not speaking to lewis's dad about his future and when bernie had that conversation they never talked about his future but he might quit, couldn't make this crap up All we have to chew on is the despicable abu dabi finale lol.

My favourites so far are one about Vettel wanting f1 greener which included the stunning claim that
"with Mercedes-Benz pledging to make combustion engines by 2030."
![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
but the best headline has to be
"Lewis Hamilton's comments on F1 retirement after Bernie Ecclestone tips him to quit"
Which is actually all Lewis's comments that he has made prior to anything Bernie may have said in the last couple of weeks.
The only"after" - as far as I can see - is that they have compiled them after Bernie said what he said

There's no point in even looking at any F1 stuff until pre-season testing commences, at the earliest. Until then it's just the same old regurgitated b
ks and made up b
ks.
You’re right of course, but I’m still here most days just in case a “he quit!” story breaks.![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

I haven’t been on the official F1 site since a few days after the fiasco: the way they’re trying to pretend nothing bad happened makes me want to throw my phone.

True, but at least a few people here are willing to call it what it was.
Somethings got to give in the circus and it’s got to come out and discussed. Covering up something this big and obvious to everyone would be full on conspiracy stuff. They can’t just brush it aside surely. How could a driver, mech or engineer put all there effort in to a full time job and sport knowing that someone could mess you up so spectacularly who isn’t even on the track.
It’s making my brain shake knowing they know but keeping quiet.
I'm happy for qualified input and I'm relatively neutral on Max/LH. But I found J Stewarts reported take on Abu Dhabi bizarre. (only saw these on Planet F1 today). seems like many who should know better are politically compromised and that's before the (unqualified) fanboys chip in.
Motorsports was ever thus. it was never a clean sport.

You didn't agree that someone of authority doesn't take the usual 'been rigged' opinion. He should know better? You mean he should have the same opinion as you?Motorsports was ever thus. it was never a clean sport.

Don’t agree…..with all the logical reasons presented over last few pages.
You have to smile at the image of Lewis sitting in his hot tub in Colorado (or wherever he really is) reading this stuff day-in, day-out and having a really good belly-laugh at the sheer stupidity of the speculative crap that is written about him in the media.
When it comes to celebrities in general, i tend to only believe what I have heard, or seen the person actually say. And then be amazed how the same clip / soundbite gets repeatedly distorted and exaggerated by some journalist who hardly ever leaves his sticky bedroom, relying entirely on regurgitated social media, or other “news” outlets.
