I have been on the fence, but now think Lewis will be back. Reason being, Tommy Hilfiger is on the Mercedes sponsors list and I believe they’re a Lewis sponsor.

You're a weird one.

You're asking my "opinion", when I've offered to bet against yours. To anyone with a basic grasp of English, that would surely determine my opinion and intent pretty well, no?

And my bet was never "strong". The word "strong" was used to describe your post, where you came out and attempted to predict the future.

Apparently all of that lot makes me a troll. laugh
you quite like the word strong eh

and attacking people

Classic conspiracy "what if...?" idiocy on display here.

You've gone from a strong statement that "it's known" to be bad for humans, to a bunch of unproven speculation.

The only possibly way for your argument to go from here is to link a crackpot YouTube video.

Give it a rest.

Wait...

You're (badly) copying and pasting a post of mine from a thread rubbishing conspiracy theorists?

And that's supposed to be relevant to this discussion?

All because you don't have the guts to stand by the convictions of your post (that Hamilton wasn't coming back to F1)?

That's brilliant.

Run along now. laugh

You seem to have a very fragile ego. I'm sorry for that.

If we rewind briefly, this is where it started.

You said you didn't think Lewis would be competing in 2022 (that's "your opinion").

I disagreed (that's "my opinion"), and offered a wager - which anyone who felt strong about an opinion would surely have no issue with.

he gave it his all last season .

how can you muster that again knowing that it could be stolen from you like that again.

that also goes for the other drivers mentality .....now they know they aren't really competing anymore .
Would you like a wager on that?

I have £100 here that says he'll be competing in 2022.
You then took issue with that, for reasons that aren't clear (aside from the fragile ego bit I mentioned earlier), and went hunting around other threads to somehow prove that I was a fan of "rubbishing people".

I'll leave you to whatever it is you think you were doing here...

I think you need to go away and learn English and then use a dictionary to learn the meaning of 'troll'.

You are managing to do that to yourself. Read back the chain of posts and you may realise who has said what and in what tone, perhaps a small apology from you may be in order?

I really hope Hamilton comes back but I wouldn’t blame him for walking.

If he had won in 2021 I think that would have been one of the greatest sporting achievements of all time.
Against someone who seems to have a few screws loose, and could easily have seriously injured him, or worse, he calmly avoided his dive bomb ‘strategy’ and had the WDC in his hands with a few laps to go.

That will have taken an awful lot out of him. But I think he wants that 8th.

I think he'll do 2022 and that'll be it. Probably a good chance of winning too.

It would be strange for him not to give it a go, unless he thought - as unlikely as it might be - that Mercedes were way off the pace with the new regulations, and he didn't want to end up driving basically a McLaren again during the RBR dominance era and incur whatever reputational "see, it was always the car" damage that might end up attached to him (although I wouldn't agree).

Then again at this level you have to be 100% committed to it so if his heart is not in it for any reason at all then he might decide that he'd rather bow out on top as "8th time People's Champion" or whatever.

He doesn't have anything to prove either way.

I think the scales have been lifted from a good few people's eyes though and he is no different. There is clearly a lot of behind the scenes BS and politics and, at the end of the day, that sort of changes the value of the title. Would he really want to go all the way down to the line again - 2022, 2023 or whenever - and have that sort of disappointment?

Might he better relish an entirely different sort of challenge?

I think he’ll asses the 2022 Merc as to whether there’s any point hanging around any longer.

If he gets the job done in 2022, he’ll definitely be off imho.

Let us not forget who put who in hospital (and got a penalty for it before we all start arguing over blame again)

5,234g.

Max also was also killed 56 times, whilst Hamilton dined on lobster and champagne, laughing hysterically, whilst wearing a cape.

At least he didn’t end up with a car on his head did he?
If that was the other way around Horner (and no doubt you) would have had a coronary.

In hospital for a mandatory check. People say it like Lewis broke both his legs or something.

It is very clickbaity to say he was 'put in hospital'. He strolled in for procedural precautionary checks, posted an attention-seeking comment on social media and then strolled out again.

I can't remember a driver putting another one in hospital. I just remember a crash which was avoidable if the driver on the outside of the corner will have open his steering instead of turning into the one who was under steering.

Race director explained very well the next day that the reason Max didn't get a penalty for that crash was because he penalised himself by crashing so it was only fair to penalised Hamilton as well as both were responsible.

I know you’re being sarcastic, but the phrase ‘put in hospital’ that red bull use is so misleading. Max visited the hospital so they could see if he was ok. They looked at him, he was ok, so he didn’t go into hospital, he went home. You’re only ‘in’ hospital if you’re admitted.
