I know it's Silverstone and not good form to complain about one's home Grand Prix, but there's not an awful lot of overtaking going on.

A few good technical overtakes at the front, but most of the field running within a second of each other, with no moves after first lap.

Hopefully the SC may spice things up a bit.

W Series about to start, and it looks like it might be about to rain.
15/20 minutes before rain serious enough to wet the track.

edit: may be longer / not at all - clouds are breaking up a bit around Bicester.

Well, there goes the only driver capable of catching Chadwick.

Was wrong, but not really much showing on the radar....

Pulling has waited for Kimilainen and let her back through.

That move wasn’t on for Pulling.
No, and she knew it straight away - had her hand up to apologise while Kimilainen was still spinning.

20-second lead in a 30-minute race, well done Jamie Chadwick.

Did Abbi let Emma back through there at the end? That seems a little presumptive.
She definitely waited for a bit on the pit straight, then again pulled way over to the left on Wellington, well before the corner / any need to defend.

Then back up to speed to keep Wohlwend behind.

She raced in F3 in a Prema. She finished 9th while her rookie teammates were first, second and third.
This.

She’s showing everyone else up in W, but in 2020 for Prema in F3 could only get one podium and less than 25% of the points of her team mates.

Sad reality is that she’s not quick enough for mixed-sex single seaters.
It IS entirely possible she has gained experience and improved since.

It is worth noting that she did considerably better in Asian F3 in same calendar year (in the same car...well same type), finishing 4th, just one place in the standings behind one N. Mazepin and beating him a couple of times at the end of the season.......

Come on - let's go, they're on full wets, what's the problem?

It's not raining & they're losing 3 seconds a lap compared to early laps, so I'm guessing the wet tyres are getting a bit grumpy already.

This could be fun.....

Weirdly, Lawson on new Wets is no faster than Doohan on 10 lap old Wets.

That looks a bit like Maloney created that situation - Bearman was completely alongside and Maloney gave him no room, shoving him off - Bearman was looking to be on the inside heading into Luffield.

Jonny Edgar is looking pretty good - not seen lot of him so far this season - made up quite a few places so far.

How is he in No.1 car? Is that Hauger's car from last year?

Top 5 cars covered by less than two seconds, this is a great race!
Leclerc did an excellent job, considering he was within DRS range for all of the racing laps.

It's no justification and I'm very glad the Halo is there and has definitely saved a life, but Nissany was a victim of his own stupid driving there.

That must have been a touch bowel-tightening for the occupants.

At the front, yes, but there's some "interesting" driving midfield and from the Pro-Ams.
