Be interesting to see what the attendance figures will be for this weekend. Given they have a current German F1 champion and now another German driver and team leading the championships.
Anyone know what the figures were for Silverstone ? It seemed packed when I was there, but I did notice some empty seats when re- watching the race on TV.

Sky coverage is starting to get on my tits now as it is rapidly becoming the Lewis Hamilton show. Lewis farts and they spend 3 hours analysing it.
Yep quite tiring.

I quite appreciate the extra time they give to British Drivers - I suspect Lewis gets more than Button and Max because he is more in a position to win the WDC. Isn't that a good thing? A British driver getting supported ?!

I don't resent the support for the British drivers, it is to be expected really. However after a certain point it just gets repetitive, silly and boring. There is just too time spent on speculation and analysis of irrelevant trivia when it comes to Hamilton.

I'm just completely sick of Hamilton, Hamilton, Hamilton from the moment the show starts until the end.

I will admit I am possibly sightly bias against Lewis though? If Button were doing well and getting the same coverage I would still find it irritating but perhaps not to the same extent.

Agree too. The bloke has no personality and is very childish. His driving however is very good. Not knocking covering a British driver but it is getting a bit much now.

There aren't any other stories to cover, so its the default position to support a British driver.

Plus this weekend is a "Mercedes special", they did one on Red Bull a while back IIRC.

The speed of the impact looked like brake failure but looking at the replay it isn't so clear.

In years gone by, he'd have been able to get straight into the T-car for the next session.

Looked quite similar to the spin at the other race, rear end let go.

I think the rear tyre's locking and smoke was because the tyre was no longer rotating but going sideways.

Surely the fact he is annoying and childish shows he has a personality - just some people don't like it. It's because he's not just a grey driver no one notices.

Not good for Hamilton, but it helps on my Castrol GP prediction - had him down as the person to gain most places!

The marshals seem slow to get to the cars to me - that's the third stop/accident I've seen through FP and quali and it seems ages before they approach the car. Kobayachi even ran to the marshal post to get a fire extinguisher and got back to the car before any marshals!
