Had to turn the sound off on the first lap that talking ar5e was doing a good impersonation of commenting for the grand National - loud shouting and offers zero insight.

Also took him half a lap to realise Gasley had lost his front wing.

Of course with DiResta we've now got the Ashton Martin as well as the Mershadies... laugh

That really annoys my better half. He seems to try really hard to get Mershadies into all his sentences

I’ve noticed Brundle using the upward inflection at the end of his sentences too. If any of them start beginning sentences with “So, ....” I’ll be switching the sound off!

I noticed that. hehe
I thought, this better stop real soon. No one can stomach that for too long. Unless you are Australian.

I lowered the volume to 0.2 decibels for the closing laps. Seemed ok then

Christ Ted was bad during the build up. I had just sat down and he started screaming "THE DUTCH LION", I just got up and walked out of the room...it's getting worse!

Seems like they all want to copy Murray's "pants on fire" approach rather than developing their own.

Murray's enthusiasm and excitement was genuine and from the heart.

Croft, as far as I can make out, was a general sports journalist before getting the BBC R5 F1 gig. His enthusiasm is false and his excitement forced. That's why he's such an unbearable bore.

massive fan of Brundle, not a fan of Croft, don't have the hate for him as many on here though.

Agreed, Murray made mistakes, and let his enthusiasm take over arguably too much sometimes, but it was from the heart, and he genuinely knew his stuff. Croft is just shouty and appears to often be clueless.

Like you, I didn't 'hate' Crofty but I was able to watch most of free practice as well as quali' and the way he shouted throughout Friday and Saturday mad eit almost intolerable. Free practice is not the time to be ranking up the decibels and building up the hype, I know it's his job but it was terrible.

Maybe he’s just glad to be out of the house hehe

I didn’t bother to watch the practices but he’s usually at his best on them when he’s not having to give it some.

I know what you mean

I work with a millennial that starts almost every sentence with 'so....'

So, I take the piss out of him wink

Tot the people saying there is no option but to put up?

That says rather a lot, there are plenty of options for you, another channel, radio sound on, tv sound off, maybe even watching footage from another country.

Paying for a person you loath is not an option for me sorry.
