Why? Whatever Stroll does proves nothing about Williams decision, they need the Cash.

Same goes for Sirotkin

You are clearly too immature to understand the responsibility of a large successful business.

Running a privateer F1 team is not about hiring what a forum fanboi thinks is the fastest driver (even when testing has proven he’s not lolz) it’s about what’s best for the business.
What F1 fan wants to see two paid drivers in a F1 team??

If your happy with this then you are easily pleased.

If you want a positive business model over the last few seasons then look at Force India rather than Williams.

You mean a factual answer.

Forewarned: He'll attempt to drag you down to his level then beat you with experience and/or stamina.

Force India is just a funded team not a Cash generating business outside of F1. It’s a gamble that returns cash if results come, eventually the results will dry up and they will be sold.

Williams has a lot more going on than F1 and is by far the last negative surviving privateer for a reason.

You still don’t quite get the Pay Driver thing either. All drivers bring funds of sorts and all of these are part of the teams business model.

You think FI don’t get a shedload of cash or free engines for running Ocon and Perez has a massive amount of funding.

Robert Kubica posted Williams' best time of the post-season Abu Dhabi Pirelli tyre test as he rounded off his third outing for the team.

The Pole posted a best time of 1:39.485 to place him seventh in the timesheet, and was a tenth quicker than Lance Stroll managed on the same hypersoft tyre on Tuesday.

Kubica drove 28 laps during the final two hours of Wednesday's running to add to the 100 laps he managed on Tuesday, after which he had said he felt "confident and comfortable".

This test is being viewed as Williams' final check on whether the Pole is physically able to make a full-time return to F1 in 2018.

However 1.3 seconds slower than Sirotkin on the soft tyre

Not one driver in any form of Motorsport does not have money. Without having cash to start racing you will never succeed. But their is a huge difference.

Ocon is being supported because he IS very talented. He is under the Mercedes programme and NOT just in F1 because he has the cash.

Many successful drivers, such as multiple F1 world champions Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso, also started their careers as pay drivers but gradually worked their way up the racing ladder. Niki Lauda borrowed money against his life insurance to secure drives in Formula 2 and Formula 1 before impressing enough to have his debts cleared by BRM and then Ferrari. With the exception of Lauda, it is to be noted that they were regarded as highly talented and promising drivers before their F1 careers commenced, and were funded by manufacturers rather than family money or companies with no racing interest.

Surely all of this confusion can’t be originating from Jim not knowing the facts?

I was commenting on FI business model vs Williams not the validity of individual drivers funding.......

So perhaps it's Stroll who needs to go then?

If Kubica is not good enough what does that say about the driver who had just completed a whole season in the car?

Just look at the 2017 constructors points and you will see who has the best business model.

Move with the times.

It can.

Apparently Williams need to dump Jim from their plans.

It is clear u2 think Williams are doing a great job by hiring two paid drivers.

Lets wait and see what happens at the end of 2018.

Not at all.

Man pays cash and buys points, man runs out of cash and points gone

Man makes a business to generate cash in a sustainable way and points will come forever

You just do t understand how f1 works

We’llsee In 10 years where FI and Williams are ;-)

If you listen to F1 you will know Force India are changing their name.

Clearly Williams will outlast Force India beer
