Williams just edging HAAS now... :O
They're neck and neck I'd say. I'm not sure if that means Williams have moved up more than HAAS have moved down... Either way, at least they both have someone to 'battle' with this year smile

Bit of a stty battle, but still 'sport'...

If Bottas wins in Australia, will the press be talking about Bottas 3.0 this year?

Maybe 4.5 will be title contender.

Lol. Who on the grid is ‘more established’ than Vettel?

Exactly, put him in the Mercedes and he would win the WDC.

With Lewis in the other car? It's highly unlikley Vettel would come out on top. Danny Ric did for Vettel & he's nowhere near as good as Lewis.

No Lewis this afternoon. So he's going to end the tests with a fastest time quite a bit slower than Botas. Not sure he'll be 100% happy with that

Sky currently saying that all drivers have earned their way onto the grid by winning other championships.

Failed to mention that Max hasn't won any outside karting though.
In order to gain the super licence, you need points, a minimum of 40 in three years. There’s many formulae that qualify for point awarding.

Lol,
"new talent"
or
"someone more stablished" (... than new talent) hence someone "who has potential but nowhere to go".

Latifi : "My right side mirror is fked, I say my right side mirror is fked"

Well, that's different of them and no apology from the commentary team.

He did say that didn't he?
Mirrors are for the pit lane, and for the drivers to put the finishing touches to their make up. He’s got a lot to learn.

Don't want to start a new thread but is there a Fantasy F1 for PistonHeads this season?

"Charles Leclerc is doing a really really long run at the moment, and he's blowing the rest of the midfield out of the water to the tune of around a second a lap and that's even Racing Point, who people are saying they are in a fight with"

"Actually the lap times Leclerc is doing, are actually bang on what Lewis Hamilton did on his long run yesterday."

"Whatever happened to Mercedes last week, they are not as quick this week, but Ferrari right now are on par with Mercedes right now."
Interesting view from Jolyon Palmer on sky sports website...

As much as I'm a Ferrari fan and dislike Lewis I agree he could get more out of that Ferrari car than Seb but.. Seb would win the WDC in the Mercedes if they were to swap seats because the current Ferrari team would fck it up for Lewis.

I was challenging the statement that if you put Vettel in the Merc he'd win the WDC because it assumed he was replacing Lewis. Vettel v Hamilton both in a Merc would only have one winner because Toto wouldn't let Vettel be favourite & Vettel can't cope if he isn't the number 1 driver.

I did mean them swapping, Seb in Merc, Lewis in Ferrari. Ferrari would fck it for Lewis and Seb would win.

Yep - that's about the size of it.
Merc is the place to be.
Shame Ricci is not there alongside Lewis - I doubt he would play lapdog
