Goodbye Perez?

I don't think the intimated criticism of Button is entirely fair. The car is a bit of a dog this year, to say the least.
What was the points gap between Button and Hamilton again over their races together?
Button vs Hamilton:What was the points gap between Button and Hamilton again over their races together?
2010: Button 214pts - Hamilton 240pts
2011: Button 270pts - Hamilton 227pts
2012: Button 188pts - Hamilton 190pts
So not a bad record at all, given everyone said he'd be embarassed by Hamilton

The trouble with statistics in general is that they can't tell you what happened on any particular event, if either driver had a problem or was held up etc. They can be useful but relying on them alone to say how good a driver is, is a bit flawed.Qualifying

so, back to topic perhaps. . . where is Checo going to go ? anyone with any hunches
Probably joining in the Force India / Sauber / Lotus musical chairs. Williams and Toro Rosso are booked up now. There isn't anywhere else now other than Caterham/Marussia or getting a test driver seat somewhere.Catatafish said:

All that shows is what an amazing race driver Button is. To have outscored Lewis with such a speed deficit.
I wonder if the stats would look any different if the FIA had been dishing out points for fastest laps and poles.I don't think anyone would suggest that Button is genuinely faster over a single lap than Hammo in general.
I do think Button has always had a focus on what happens at the end of the race, rather than at the end of qualifying. I think Perez is similar in this regard, but not as good as Button.
