The Official 2016 Austrian Grand Prix Thread **Spoilers**
Discussion
2 schools of thought here, 1 the suspension isn't designed for the loads those kerbs exert.
However, 2, if that was a wall then the drivers would avoid it, so they know the cars can't go that far off track, they are pushing it.
So I think the track limits need to be massively enforced now

3rd car to have suspension break today. Time to remove those big curbs. The cars aren't up to it. Yes, they shouldn't run wide, but this is silly. At least give the teams a chance to develop the cars to withstand the oscillation from them.
They seem to be acting as a good deterrent to exceeding track limits without the certainty of failure you'd have with a wall or post. More please.TheInternet said:

More please. What they do is put at risk those who make a mistake and run really wide. I'm not against those who do that losing out but not to the extent of wrecking the cars, and potentially the race, and putting the drivers lives at risk.
Just another Whiting knee jerk in the wrong direction for me.

In at least two places it's quite possible to put all 4 wheels over the track omit line without hitting the yellow blocks, so hey don't deter anyone from deliberately exceeding track limits.

I assumed they only came into play when drivers were outside the rules. Either way it remains up to the driver whether they run over them, and it seems likely that backing off if they do will help. Nice one Jenson!
Great performance, seemed a little surprised in the interview as he thought he was starting 4th!Great interview with him on Sky, "it's easy from here, I've seen it on TV, the guys at the front just disappear don't they".
Jensen comes out with some brilliant humour.
