Isn't the whole point of greenhouse gas that it causes more temperature than the sun would otherwise impart? You know, like being in a greenhouse is warmer than being outside. That's not due to the sun being hotter when you're in the greenhouse. CO2 etc doesn't change how much global warming affects us, it changes the amount of global warming, which affects us. I thought that was generally accepted by scientists worldwide as fact - the significance of that over natural cooling / heating i can accept might be up for debate.
FWIW sometimes i do feel a bit helpless when you see some of the things happening in the world. So i think using his reach and platform to encourage people to think about things is no bad thing.

Hard to take someone seriously bemoaning our lack of care for the planet and CO2 emissions, whilst simultaneously burning fossil fuels racing round in circles, as part of a massive entourage of people travelling round the world in (private) planes, trucks and ships.
Don’t get me wrong, I love F1, and the carbon footprint is minuscule compared to the overall global emissions issue, but people in glass houses...

I am not sure why this precludes him from sharing his views if he believes them . Many doctors smoke or are overweight they still tell others of the dangers. He has a platform infinitely more influential than any doctor. If he's right then he can only help. t hole"...?ts... in other words; I wouldn’t be ‘triggered’. I’d just get on with my day and forget our encounter ever happened.Half of PH, on the other hand, can’t avoid getting into a right tizzy, over a celeb haircut, garment or opinion.
