there you go again.....not only are you hypocritical and calling someone stupid (who clearly isn't) but you also don't seem to grasp the concept that you can work in an industry that has a carbon footprint, whilst at the same time having an opinion that we need to reduce it.
if you cant get that last point then you're more stupid than you claim lewis to be

I haven't denied anything....if you bother to scroll back through the various pages ive explained and presented evidence on the carbon footprint of flights etc and given sound reasoning why its not hypocritical...maybe youre too stupid to understand or are in denial yourselfanyway, im out

It is fair enough to say you consider these particular comments foolish.Calling Hamilton a fool is ridiculous. He's clearly very brilliant, and what he excels at is exceptionally demanding, physically, mentally and psychologically.
I very much doubt there are any F1 world champions who are 'fools'.

I care about animal welfare, and yet I eat meat...does that make me hypocritical?I care about the environment, and yet I work in the construction industry...does that make me hypocritical?
I care about rescue dogs, and yet my dogs aren't rescues...does that make me hypocritical?
yet I give money to the WWF, my job is to reduce waste and I support local dogs homes.
..you see how this works don't you? you can be a part of something which goes against your personal views...

Thing is; Hamilton didn't say that business people / people in general should stop flying or not be a part of a business that uses air travel; he said people should go vegan because of the massive impact animal agriculture has on the environment; amongst the other issues of animal welfare, etc. So in a general sense; I can see why the comments regard environment are hypocritical, but not the specific comments made. There's a difference. Given the fact that animal agriculture is worse than all air travel; transport combined; he does have a leg to stand on IMO. The other, more general thing to note is that; anyone that says anything; can be shot down easily. Steve down the pub says he's concerned for the environment; "well Steve, you've got three kids and drive an SUV; so ps off you virtue signalling hypocrite..."
You get the idea. I can see that both things are true to some extent.

It's pretty amusing that its apparently ok for few randoms to take to car forum, rage against Lewis Hamilton and prescrible their way of living to everyone, but its not ok for Lewis to have his own opinions without being mocked.
Except none of that actually happened 37chevy said:

Where did anyone tell Hamilton to "Go carnivore?". If I've missed in then I will obviously retract my previous statement. When all's said and done the guy can think and live his life however he likes. It's of no consequence to me. But when he pipes up and stands in judgement of the entire world just because we don't all share his moral scruples, he is inviting opposing opinion and ridicule. That is my only objection. I don't care about hypocrisy or any of the other stuff. Hamilton is not the arbiter of how everyone on Earth must live their life, and when he attempts to be just that, I will mock him. Further, I will not be shouted down by anyone attempting to defend his right to tell me what to have for dinner tonight

Astonishing; I'm sure we can both agree!

talk about pot kettle black....the amount of people on here that mock lewis for his lifestyle choices, whether it be his hair, tax affairs, housing situation or food consumption, who are the same people that then whine when he tries to tell people that veganism is a good thing is amazing.
hypocrisy of the highest order ."
you took the point about lifestyle as food choices...if youd have read on then you may have understood the second part a bit better
people constantly ridicule him for his life choices on here.....and yet cry when he does the same
