My guess is when they are ready to make the big "Newey" announcement, it will by more than a social media post on a Friday lunchtime.
Shirley, they'll announce it at the next race.

Which happens to be in Imola.

I think they'll wait until Monza so he can go to the launch of the RB17 at Goodwood FOS in his RB shirt first.

I think Monza too. Nearing the end of the season, maybe things already wrapped up for MV & RB

1200 announcement by Ferrari doing the rounds on socials.

We’ll see how accurate that is.
Now all over Twitter. Go on, please be true.
Oh well, that appears to have been a false alarm.

10+ years and more at red bull but he is going to act like some disgruntled sour puss?
I would expect to not hear about him doing anything till the seasons over.
Ferrari seem to be doing ok this week as they new updates make the car look like the 2024 red bull.

Mark Hughes is of the opinion he hasn’t decided what to do yet.

I am of the opinion he has. I am of the opinion this was a done deal at the end of last year and that both Lewis and Newey went to Ferrari at least in part because the other was....... It just makes sense to me - although of course I am exceedingly biased in that I really, really, really want it to happen soooooo

I think it might not have been a done deal... But if both were sniffing around talking to Ferrari, I find it very hard to believe they weren't both somehow made aware of the others interest.

It's very much in Ferrari's interest if they want to snare one to name drop the other and then vice versa.

It seems like both Leclerc and Sainz are more than competent race winners, and at the helm of a Newey tweaked Ferrari i could see either being easily capable of becoming WDCs.

So what is the allure to Newey of Lewis going to Ferrari? Surely that is far more of a gamble based on his current form. How much of that is down to the car is obviously unknown.

His current form? He's got a terrible and inconsistent car...

His form appears just fine to me, I seriously doubt leclerc could outdo him over a season.

Newey 100% wants to work with Lewis. Source: Newey.

And vice versa, naturally.

Newey has said that the two things he wants to do in F1 that he has not yet done are to work with Lewis Hamilton and to work at Ferrari. Neither requires much of an explanation.

I’m not doubting you, I have heard the same about Newey wanting to work with Lewis but do you know when he actually said this? I would like to hear it from the man himself.

He's said the same recently in a couple of interviews where he's been asked about how he 'would' feel working with Lewis.

Of course the top talents of the sport want to work together. Results aren't guaranteed but they'll still want that opportunity.

He gets to work at Ferrari with Lewis. I mean... Duh.

Playing devil’s advocate, that article also says he wants to work with Alonso.

Wouldn't it be weird if he didn't?

I want lots of things too...

But Lewis is at Ferrari who he definitely also wants to work with.

Alonso is at AMR and he doesn't like Stroll...

Some decisions in life aren't particularly difficult..

So to summarize…. He’s leaving RB, that much we know. He may take 6 months off, that much we know. Working with Hamilton wouldn’t be terrible, that much we know…. Everything else is just speculation or click bait ?
Any update on the above ??

And beyond the F1 car, he will surely get the chance to design a road going Ferrari.

They'd be mad not to entice him with that.
