Believe it shows if car is safe to touch from an electrical point of view?
Thats what i thought as when it stopped the light turned green similar to if the car was in the garage.

The update from circuit on Sky Sports News confirms the news that Bianchi is/has been operated on.

Maybe not the right time to say this but there will be a new driver on the grid for Sochi as Will Stevens is the Marussia reserve driver.

I would think Alex Rossi will be stepping in - assuming Marussia can put together a new car / choose to race.
But then what was the point of signing stevens on Friday? He was due to run on Friday as well but there was a problem with paperwork.

Anyway, it doesnt matter at the moment.

I was wondering what that was as they all looked like they had seen a ghost.
Just been watching the post race coverage. Davidson and Herbert looked absolutely horrified when they were bringing the car back.

Sky coverage was extremely professional.

Has it been discussed here that a marshal was waving a green flag when the tractor was still on the gravel? (Behind the BBC logo; top left).

At this point Bianchi's accident has happened. They have in-car lights for yellow flags, so I hope drivers didn't see that green flag.

Have you bothered to read the thread, or just posting now? This has been discussed.
Ironic you seem to be questioning my reading comprehension when you've missed the part where I start my post with 'Has it been discussed here.' It's abundantly clear I have not seen a post in the thread on the subject idea

So why is waving a green flag correct when 2 cars and a tractor are in the gravel? I await your flippant response.

Okay, I get it now. See, an explanation is all it takes. Clearly some of you have been on this thread all day whereas I have not. Man I hate F1 threads.

I wonder how much help or lack of the gravel helped over tarmac run off?

Then don't read / post in them hehe

I haven't been on this thread all day, but have taken the time to read it.
I haven't posted after a race for a long time because the threads are great during a race, but descend into something altogether different after.

The green flag was (briefly) discussed 3 hours after the race finished, 13 pages back in this thread. If anyone thinks I should have seen that before posting my question, then my response is this:
