Ch4 are showing all races, just not "live".
I enjoyed some of the highlight coverage last year, and they were a decent length despite being "highlights".
E.g - Australia coverage is 2hr 40min this Sunday (2pm)
Those 2hr 40min will consist of 60 minutes of ad breaks, 60 minutes of combined drivel / catching up with events for those who've been living in a cave since the last race of 2016, and 40 minutes of disjointed race coverage.I enjoyed some of the highlight coverage last year, and they were a decent length despite being "highlights".

Why? The picture quality is absolute drivel, it hurts my eyes watching that.
Much rather use a HD stream though KODI.
Yep... this is what I'm doing too.Much rather use a HD stream though KODI.
In fact, for the first time this is my only option, I have no sky as back up if KODI fails me

I've found mobdro to be rubbish as well. What Kodi app are you guys using? Being a Kodi/firestick newbie I only use Exodus for TV shows/films.
Q box 16gb Quad core, KODI 16.1 and I use the Pulse Build via ARES wizard. Plenty of streams in ZEM but I use Specialist Super Streams which is rock solid and amazing. can just be added as a standalone addon if you like.

I thought of this comment when watching the "highlights".Program started at 14:00. Race was shown from 14:30 to 16:00. I didn't count / time the ad breaks, but 1hr 30min is plenty for a race that lasted 1hr 24mins.
I cancelled my Sky HD package that included SkyF1 a month before the race thinking I could cope with Channel4 and maybe have a crack with Kodi streams.
A week before the start of the season I was offered 60% off my package for 12 months which made it about £20 a month and I couldn't refuse at that price - the kids and the missus watch a few other Sky channels and I like Discovery, but if I am being honest, the only reason I stuck with Sky was for the F1!
I like watching the races live and Sky + can't be beat for recording.
My experiments with Kodi failed - despite having potentially one of the best home broadband connections in the country, too often Kodi crashed or the quality was poor - this may be down to me using an Amazon firestick though.
I was up at 5.55am to watch the Oz Gp. I prefer early or late starts, it avoids breaking my Sunday up, and during the day my kids do their best to ruin the only thing I have left to myself......
ETA - Sky Go is great is I am out and about if I have Wifi or a half decent 4G signal.

Well apparently the site I suggested is an illegal download site and against rule 10 of the forum rules so I've deleted my post
InterestingStreaming isn't downloading and is perfectly legal, the distribution may not be legal but the act of streaming it from a publically available source isn't as you're not storing the data. Theres plenty of legal cases to support this.
Over zealous modding i'd say
Attempting to argue streaming content that you have no rights to is "legal" is pie-in-the-clownface crazy. It's as legal as the free man of the land woo.

The law doesn't distinguish between storing for 5 seconds in a memory cache or video buffer against 5 years on a hard drive.
This is not true. In the EU, there is an explicit case law distinction between "temporary storage" and "permanent storage". The actual case stems from viewing copyrighted material in a web browser but subsequent clarifications have put streamed media content under the same rules. It is not illegal to stream copyrighted material which you don't own the copyright for. It is, of course, illegal to make such content available for streaming but it's not the end-user who's breaking the law.
ETA: Obviously it's also morally dubious, but in modern Britain I get the impression that doesn't matter.

C4 coverage is awful. I do still really like the Sky coverage.....I use my VPN to log in and watch it.
However, sometime between the end of last season and the start of this one, rather than watching sports via the browser, they have introduced a pop up app you have to install which the browser launches. Once launched you can close the browser.
So far so good.
Unfortunately, not only does it make it run extremely hot (fan on constantly, which never happened before), it absolutely eats the battery. My 13" MBA -with healthy battery - went from 100% to 6% over the 2hrs I was watching the race.
I also can't airplay sky to the apple TV any more - jerky, stutters lots and is muted.

Sorry if you're using PULSE then SSS is in Live Streams not under SportsAlthough in ZEM I use UNITV which is pretty solid too
Cheers for the tip, I'll see what I can find tonight.

If anyone has agreed a discount to stay with Sky, this discount applies across the whole TV package.
I have 60% off at the moment and was offered Sky Sports for £11 a month with no tie in.
Sports back on right in time for the season :-)
I was recently offered SkySports half price for 12 months. So took it up. I have 60% off at the moment and was offered Sky Sports for £11 a month with no tie in.

What swung it was 2 things.
1) I found that trying to avoid the results were a pain. Even last Saturday at work, the radio announced at lunchtime that Lewis was on Pole. Couple hours before the Ch4 coverage was on
2) The races in the West. That weren't live. (eg Brazil) were shown late on the Sunday so as someone that gets up pretty early for work it was a pain. I had to watch them as there was no way I could avoid the result for 24hours if I recorded it.
Have to sway I don't dislike Ch4s coverage generally. If they were all races live, Id not bother with Skys "extra" content. Even though some of the standalone interviews with people are quite good

At the end of the day democratic governments have to be elected. You don't do that by making every citizen a criminal.
If the source originates outside the EU, it will be difficult to impossible to stop. The concept was lost with digital music, only by providing lots of stuff for buttons did the business regain a small measure of control.
I just can't believe that current teenagers will suddenly feel that they need to go legit in 15-20 years time. The Liberty model may be broken from the outset. CVC are not dummies, they knew when it was the right time to sell.
Look how the viewing figures for Top Gear have changes since Clarkeson switched from BBC free to air and Amazon Prime, despite the massive $millions added to their budget. The fact that it is also the moast highly downloaded illegal content speaks volumes.
This is not a time for a finger in a dyke solution. The Torrents are already flowing and I sincerely doubt that they can be stopped.

How bout now? http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-an...
Still nopeYou need to read the legislation
Its aimed at those providing the streams and those selling hardware with the software modified to allow watching those streams ie 'Fully Loaded Kodi Boxes'
Given its a 5 min job to add the software and addons yourself its still not against any known law for me to watch the F1 on my android box. If you don't agree feel free to post up the legislation that states otherwise.
Cheers
