What F1 race to attend?
Discussion
Am doing my very best to go to Texas for the November race this year, me and my mate. Holiday time all booked, registered for ticket info with Circuit of The Americas.
Still have a ton of research to do, to find out where to stay, where else to go whilst we are there etc etc..
But I cant wait, its going to be great.

Can't wait to hear about Texas!
I've got a provisional agreement with Mrs Chev that we'll go next year. Take two weeks over it and see Houston, New Orleans and Austin. Friends are interested too and fancy doing a NASCAR race while we're over there.
Yeehar!
That sounds fantastic.I've got a provisional agreement with Mrs Chev that we'll go next year. Take two weeks over it and see Houston, New Orleans and Austin. Friends are interested too and fancy doing a NASCAR race while we're over there.

Reading all these threads about the European races it seems that if you go with mates= Spa, if you are going with the Missus (or Mister) = Valencia.
Singapore looks good but I have heard that it is incredibly expensive.
I did Barcelona MotoGP with Mrs Chev last year and that was great. We had a week in Barca and did two days at the circuit and then a great city break too. We both loved it and swore we'd be back soon. Highly recommended as a pleasant motor racing experience.
Barcelona is the best race I've been to in terms of spectating. Sit in stands C, G or H and you will get an amazing view of the track, can see loads of stuff.
Malaysia on the other hand is brilliant, going to that again this year.

Valencia was immensely disappointing for me, will never be going back to that one. Spa is good but crap weather every time I've been. I went to Singapore last year, good atmosphere but dull race and very expensive. Nice to do once but I wouldn't rush back. Singapore looks good but I have heard that it is incredibly expensive.

Monaco (been 6 times!) with Monza a very close second choice.
But I really want to go to Austin
Did Austin this year and much more enjoyable than Monaco IMHO. But I really want to go to Austin
If you go to Texas I suggest trying to find a house to rent - access to city and track were good this year. Had a treat on the Sunday night to find the Sauber drivers in the same restaurant as us [though keeping well apart from each other].
Just think - you could do US immigration at Vegas then head on to Austin after a couple of days......

Tickets bought for Secteur Rocher at Monaco for Sat & Sun. £263.20 for two people. Just need to find a way to get there now .
Fly - it's the cheapest way. Tolls, fuel and speeding fines make it bloody expensive to drive these days. Check BA - often they're the same price as Easyjet over that weekend.
