Hulkenberg to Lotus

The Telmex money is always there and Slim Jnr will want to see Checo placed in the best possible seat...which should still be the Sauber.
To be fair to Checo, the Sauber isn't a bad car and you never know, it might be better than the McLaren next year, so all round, might not be the worst thing to happen in his career.Crafty_ said:
Wasn't there murmurings that Telmex money didn't go to McLaren when it was assumed it would because Perez went there ?
Haven't heard much about Perez bringing money, maybe he wants to do it on skill/reputation ?
Did you see the Claro Video logos on the cars? Can't recall whether they are still on them but they definitely were on the cars mid-year.Haven't heard much about Perez bringing money, maybe he wants to do it on skill/reputation ?
The Sauber may be a good car this year, but next year's cars will of course be totally different and one has to wonder how much money has been available to the design team at Sauber for the 2014 car?

Can't see it being much different to the last big rule change, and they came out the box with a good car then. It's just something Sauber always do, even on a tight budget. The Sauber may be a good car this year, but next year's cars will of course be totally different and one has to wonder how much money has been available to the design team at Sauber for the 2014 car?

Sauber's uptick came late this year...I think it was the shift to the 2012 tyres. Their 'crunched' side pods didn't really work out of the box did they? I really think they have spent all their efforts on the 2013 car to attract investors and earn constructors place points and as such will be behind the curve in 2014.DanielSan said:

The 2009 bmw sauber was utterly awful. the 2010 bmw sauber ferrari ( ) wasn't much better, the 2011 and 2012 cars were a marked improvement.Hulk to Force India and not Lotus.
Don't blame him personally!

Neither do I. Will hopefully be a good move for him and should still provide him with a competitive car to allow him to mix with the top third.Don't blame him personally!

Paul's no worse than Sutil though. Hopefully both FI drivers are replaced.
PDR is better than Sutil.Sutil is dull. mediocre, uninspiring. I have no clue how he manages to have an F1 career when there are so many great drivers out there. Must be money.

I'm surprised FI still owe Nico some money from 2012.

It's not just the 2012 drivers who are owed money!
Something something fisichella something something ferrari something something wipe the slate cleanOnly a very little bit though.

2013 drivers would probably like the slate wiped clean as well - PDR's going to lose his ride and, just to rub salt into the wound, will almost certainly be left chasing for backpay. I have no particular love for the dour whinger, but I can't help but feel a little bit sorry for him.
Only a very little bit though.
I feel bad for him, given that his thoroughly beige and under performing team mate, who he beats consistently, still has a seat. Only a very little bit though.
Technically none of the seats at FI are confirmed yet. If they were being clever, they'd sign Perez (who's better than their current drivers anyway), and use the Telmex money to make sure they can meet Hulk's pay demands and sign him too. That would be a much better team than they had this year.

Well, he takes them to a bar and orders champagne with one extra glass....
Sutil: Hey Paul, good race. Let me buy you a drink.PDR: *runs*

Publicly slagging your employer is not a good way to retain employment though. I think Paul is a better driver than Sutil, but that won't do much good if he can't get along with his team. Edited by Jungles on Wednesday 20th November 22:30
