From the POV of Williams - how did they do at Monza?

Is this actually their best chance of getting that crucial point on the board (by keeping Russell in the car he is doing so well in)?

How much would a single point be worth to them?
A point is not crucial for Williams, they'll finish last this year whatever. It used to be important when there were more than 10 teams but prize money only went down to 10th place

Surely it's pride, more than anything. They won't want to finish the year as the only team on zero points.
If the team has any sense, it will have both eyes on 2022. This year and next year is effectively written off, it will finish last whatever. Spend the money where it matters.

I heard that my Uncle's mate down the pub reckons that Lewis was so scared to go back out when he pitted, that they put his brother in the car instead.

As it drives itself he just had to chunter on the radio about his tyres being shot and then hold on whilst the car led the race.

My Uncle said this was possible because everyone is so racist that they wouldn't be able to tell Lewis from Nicolas anyway.

I also heard that Lewis was in TK Maxx on Tuesday and looked fine.
I heard that too from my mate in the factory
