Won't go anywhere but a very interesting turn of events.

Turns out Mosley and Bernie knew about Singapore 2008 before the end of 2008.

So by the rules they should've annulled Singapore and Massa would be world champion. Instead they pretended it didn't happen until it came out via other means and it was too late to change the championship outcome.

Massa now looking at his legal options.

Please quote the exact rule you are relying on for your dreaming?
It's a direct quote from Bernie Ecclestone in the link provided in the first post.

Bernie said:
“We had enough information in time to investigate the matter. According to the statutes, we should have cancelled the race in Singapore under these conditions.

“That means it would never have happened for the championship standings. And then Felipe Massa would have become world champion and not Lewis Hamilton.”
Yep.

But MGT if you wanna trawl through the 2008 regs feel free. If you don't believe Bernie on that point then why pay any attention to the rest of the article.

I didn't write the article guv' so point your ire towards Bernie/the journo.

On the pic, irrelevant to this thread so I'll refer you to my answer when someone posted it on the AD21 thread, happy hunting.

I don't know about you guys, but the article clearly states there is nothing that can be done. Anything to be done had to be done within 14 days, and not less than 4 days before the annual awards.

So, my question stands, what rule are you relying on?

In simple terms, this is a big piece of 'no-news' as nothing can be done after all this time.
Did I not *clearly* state in my opening sentence that this won't go anywhere? It's an interesting 'what-if' at this point, unless Massa gets a barrister that tells him otherwise.

More coming out today, looks like Charlie Whiting admitted he knew before season end 2008 and so did Max Mosley.
