Cerbera Alternatives...

OK... so a slightly random topic, but as a TVR fan, the temptation to buy a Cerbera as a solution to my "problem" is strong!
My problem: I want something that will carry 2 adults, 2 kids (4 & 7) and a load of luggage, maybe the odd bike or two, and I want it to be fun. The 996 will do the people and the bikes, but no luggage space. The Cerbera would do people and luggage, however no roof rack, so no bikes.
Any other suggestions, that give me the fab performance and bang for buck?

Monaro - very tempting
E39 M5 - lovely, but it looks like an old shape 5 series. Not an issue for me, but is for the Mrs.
Audi RS6 Avant - probably the favourite, but big money!
E60 M5 - even bigger money!
Maserati 4200 (oops, luggage) - lovely though!
Dodge Challenger - need to know more!

Can't you get a towbar for the Cerb and stick the bikes in a box?

Oddly, I just hired a Challenger R/T in the states. It had bags of room inside and comfortably seated 5 adults. We managed to squeeze 2 full size suitcases and one medium suitcase in the boot.Granted, it was only the 5.7 Hemi but I certainly wouldn't describe it as slow as it had a decent turn of speed. The 6.1 SRT would be quite fun I'd imagine.

te on a trip to Cornwall the other day.Depends what attracts you to the Cerb. A big part of its appeal is the extrovert exclusivity you get with a TVR. However good the M6 and so on are they won't replicate that. The Masers probably get closest, but it's still a world away.
I think if you specifically want a Cerb the only thing that will replace it will be another TVR and a practical runaround for the week. You'll be able to find cars to match it in almost every quantifiable respect, but it's the intangible appeal of TVR that's so unique.
