Stumbled across this video on you tube...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7E91r_iim0&fea...

Its not the fastest lap fo the ring I've ever seen and even though the driver is the Driving Academy's top bloke you have to hand it to him for sheer size of balls!!

The more I watched the more amazing it got. and I was always told to stay off the white lines and the kerbs when its wet...!!

I stopped watching after a couple of minutes it was giving me palpitations. There was a couple of points where I expected him to aquaplane off.

Ballsy yes, and slightly suicidal if you ask me.

Most of his corners were taken using the throttle, the steering wheel was only there to keep him out of the wall! He's got serious balls.

Well, you can only steer if you've got front grip.

You can floor it whatever else is happening. biggrin

drifting around the top of carousel! is that the best wet line there, or car too low to the ground to take the lower line?

I suspect that the tarmac is better in the wet. The inner part of the Carousel is concrete isn't it... bit slippy.

Great driving.

I've been around there on a bike in similar conditions with near slicks on.

Sadly there wasn't the video equipment they have now when I was there.

Otherwise we'd see what 20mph in the wet round the 'ring look like hehe

Epic lap - I'm amazed he made it around the Carousel by mostly turning right!
