2012 List of motoring things to do ....

After having a motoring based chat in the pub (as usual) we we're discussing a list of motoring things that we'd like to do by the close of 2012...


My list was :
- Take one of the cars to Santa pod for a RWYB day
- Drive the 'ring
- Drive the Evo triangle and other well known Welsh roads
- Trackday at Silverstone GP
- Drive or passenger around SPA
- Drive as many cars I havn't driven before

-Finish building my Suzuki

-Get a job so I can get my first (Road) car

I passengered to 207mph on the speedo (201 or 202mph on the traps iirc) in a fettled 997 Turbo S, pic on my profile of a good friends 599GTO at Vmax (also a PHer) with me in pax seat.

The rally experience at knock hill is brilliant, I did it along with the 360 experience before I went away to uni a couple of years ago

This year, I want to get either my car up to scratch, or buy something completely unnecessary and pointless, like a Volvo T5

Buy a car that's capable of cruising for hours on the motorway in comfort.
Not get raped on the insurance for it.

Fix the Cosworth.

Go on a ridiculous roadtrip .

Get a dad wagon as I become a dad in May. 335i touring looks nice.

Do the Evo triangle. I live on the edge of it, so no excuse.

Take my motorbike to France to catch a few stages of the Tour de France. (baby permitting)

Learn how to change the oil on my diesel Renault. The underneath is covered by plastic and I have no idea where the sump plug and filter are.

I fancy doing destelvio etc but not sure I'll be able to do it this year.

PPC £999 Challenge at Santa Pod June

Get a better job so I can actually afford to do all that stuff.

Slide into a tree.

That's pretty much it.

- get MX-5 rust sorted
- Buy something with at least 6 cylinders
- Buy something with a real sense of occasion to drive

Explore the 306's handling a bit more.
Learn more about RWD.
Improve my braking technique.

European roadtrip.

Arriving at the end of the year alive would be a bonus!
