Hello,

I am trying to fine an online valuation site that takes into account high mile vehicles.

Most of the sites I have found, only let me input the miles up to 150,000

I am looking at trying to value a 2005 Land Cruiser LC3 auto, 7 seater, with 242,000 on the clock.
Reasonable to poor condition.

Any on care to give me a pointer to a website, or care to put a value on it?

Is it sound mechanically? Or are you trying to buy it?!

Hi,

I need to put a cheap valuation on it for divorce purposes.
aka, She will want half of what it is worth.

But cant seem to find an online valuation site.
Well, the judge told me, that she could "go on line and get a valuation for it"
I told her it was "starship miles" and I found it difficult to evaluate the price.

Ideas, options please,

If any on can have a guide as to how much £ I should knock off from the valuation of a 150,000 miler, to a current 242,000 miler.
ie, how much should I knock off to compensate for the additional 92,000 miles ?

Thanks all very much,

vette

Hi,

engine size is 2998
it is the D4-d
it is Auto.
it is June 2005 on an 05 plate
it is 8 seater, but the rear seats are missing, that is, the third row.
cloth seats.
it has a few door scratches from laning.
rear plastic bumper is bent/distored, requires replacement as the plastic is torn.

what else?

id take it to a dealer and ask them to buy it, they will get it underwritten

the price would be very low

if you ask nicely you may get it in writing

Valuation for 15th February 2012

Trade Basic value £12,950.00 Mileage Adjustment -£3,300.00 Extra Options £0.00 Dealer adjustments £0.00 Adjustments subtotal -£3,300.00 Adjusted value total £9,650.00
Glasses guide adjusted for miles. It seems a bit high to me and I haven't adjusted for the damage. Average miles is 66k so nearly 4x the average, I think the book goes out the window... Not much help I'm afraid, sorry.

Well, here's a bid for you. I'd give you £1,500 to buy the thing.

Hope that helps!!

I'll give you £1750. This seems reasonable, I assume that you have "lost" all the service history too as that will "unfortunately" devalue the vehicle

do get a proper quote from glasses if you want to present it in court,

but as a guide, use this: http://www.motoring.co.uk/free-car-valuation
it's based on the glasses guide

Hi uncinquesei,

Thanks very much for the valuation.
It used to be a highways agency car, thats why it is nearly 250,000.
It is scratched on teh doors both sides with laning and 4x4 playing.
The rear bumper is needing replacement, as i reversed into an unseen tree.
Honestly the tree was about 100 years old, amd the LC stopped instantly.
It has a snorkel fitted, so not standard.
It has 50mm suspension, so also not standard,
This reduces its value I guess.

It has a whole in teh roof, where the aerials were removed and now has a rubber bung.

I guess it's worth about £5500.
I don'[t need it to be worth much, as the other half, will want half of it's value in an ongoing divorce.

I am quite happy to produce to the judge, valuations of £3000 or whatever.
i may go to my local Toyota dealer, and to put in writing, (for a fee) the value they would give me for it if I was taking no part ex.
That should drive the valuation through the floor.

I don't think we are looking for a high end valuation wink

OP, book an appointment with WBAC. Make sure it's filthy dirty.

Definitely make sure it's ridiculously dirty, and if you can, really st up the inside of it too because that's a real pain for dealers, they hate that.
