Just for starters:

Turbo cars aren't proper drivers cars but show any PHer an F40 and they go all gooey.

You don't need power to have fun yet the new Toyobaru got plenty of flack for it's "mere" 197bhp.

RWD is the only thing to have in a drivers car yet there's endless swooning over old school hot hatches.

Any more?

200,000 opinionated keyboard warriors can't agree on anything on the internet?

No surprises there. If we all thought the same way and had the same values we'd all just drive Gold Tdi's and talk about the weather.

This is the problem with PH not having a collective mind.

Live rear axles make for bad handling cars - wasn't the Mk2 Escort brilliant?

Don't buy a Golf like all the other sheep, get a BMW instead.

I want a new car and I don't care about image but I don't want anything British, American, French, Japanese or Korean.

If you dare stick up a video of some 'questionable' driving on public roads you will be flamed to within an inch of your life, Unless it's an iconic car or you happen to be Chris Harris, If by chance it's both then you will get praise.

I'd like to know if there is one single thing the entire membership of PH agree on.

I'm not sure there is, but if there is I'm pretty sure some of PH would change their opinion just to have an argument.

Looking for a new car, must do 0-60 in 6 seconds or less, have 7 seats, do 50mpg average, top 190mph and be easy to maintain myself.

My budget is £1,500.

They whinge about how much money they are spending on petrol, yet refuse to drive less or chose more efficient cars.

I noticed someone complained that the new rs4 isn't turbocharged.

If it was a turbocharged v6 instead of a na v8 i bet they would have complained aswell.

Find a modified car. Post it in the tastefully modified cars thread. Everyone says its vile and posts vomit emoticons. Post the same pictures in the badly modified cars thread. Everyone says its awesome.

How about... I need a saloon car as a family hack that is fast and fun and has the best driver involvement.

I couldn't own a 3 series, common as muck and owned by arrogant a'holes.

Anyone know anything about the Passat tdi?

That's what good about PH and cars in general. For those of us who are interested in cars, they are not objects bought with rational thought in mind; for a start there is basically no rational reason to have a car with more than 4 cylinders, 1.6 litres of capacity or 150 bhp or indeed less than 4 seats. Of course, we don't all drive around in 1.6 Fiestas (I do actually but not for long once I get a years' worth of earnings in a proper job, about 2014...) and what we do drive around in or what we would like to anyway is a matter of personal choice and here's to that.

Or ask a huge list of questions in an attempt to convince you that you don't know what you want anyway?

I'm still not sure who you mean? smile

Haven't seen him around for a while TBH?

If you're a true petrolhead, it won't matter one bit. They could quadruple fuel prices and I'd still rather drive than get the bus.
