I saw this earlier...I loved how the headline was all 174 MPH AUDI RS4....

When it turned out the speed, and the fact it was an RS4 had absolutely no relevance to the story. It could have been any car and the outcome would have been the same.

They even go to the effort of posting the cars facts/figures....

"when a Volkswagen appeared to be travelling on the wrong side of the road in the opposite direction."

.......I like how they don't mention anything about the car in the wrong (the VW)

I see they have been practising their best 'angry face'.

I will sleep better at night knowing that their 3 spaniels were not killed either.

Great comments as well such as this:

Why oh why oh why did they build the cottage so close to such a busy road? - Midge MacLundie, Crinan, United Kingdom, 18/9/2013 13:21.

Some of the comments are fecking hilarious!

"Why did they build the house so close to the road?".

followed by a comment of "why did your parents concieve" in response to the above.

I love how the driver of the RS4 is being made out to be the bad guy when it seems they did their best to avoid a collision with a car that was clearly in the wrong.

Also you'd think after previous cars arriving in their garden they may have looked into so roadside barriers etc rather than "living in fear"...

I don't think that 5/600 years ago the A50 existed, and I don't think a horse
and cart would do that amount of damage anyway.

That one made me laugh, I assume the poster meant that seeing as the car is capable of doing 174mph that means that the driver had to be doing 174mph.

My Golf is capable of 100mph, no wonder I get home from work so quickly!!

It's an old Roman road I believe, so it did exist in some form or other. Though as you say, the horse and cart wouldn't be doing 174mph like this driver clearly was. The mentalist.

If he was doing 174mph he'd have driven out of the back door into the garden!

Exactly. The irony of which was lost on the person who posted that comment.

Did they manage to squeeze in about how the damage to the house would affect it's value? They normally squeeze in something about house prices - i.e. "man found murdered in this £350k house", as if that's more important.

Was it the car used to kill Diana too? And did they find Maddie in the boot?

Wonder how much the "Ten-speaker Bang and Olufsen" stereo contributed to the crash as well?

The Daily Fail is always good for a chuckle. biglaugh Surprised as others have mentioned they didn't mention the effect of the accident on the value of the house, or insist that crashed Audis present a cancer risk....

I'd laugh at Daily Mail comments.. if it wasn't for the fact that there actually people THAT stupid out there, amongst us. It's not like it's satire.. these are real people, people :|
