Chris Harris video: Goodwood Revival

Harris, Anthony Reid, that Lister and the RAC TT race. Wonderful

By now you'll have seen Chris Harris's onboard footage from the Revival TT race and read his blog on the fabulous weekend. But here we have nearly 20 minutes from Monkey detailing all that goes into taking second place at Goodwood's most famous race. And plenty of tweed.

There's some lovely slo-mo of the Lister and the racing looks just as intense as it did back in September. You'll want to watch him nab second place after the restart a few times. That Chris and team mate Anthony Reid even made it to the grid was an achievement; if you don't know why, watch on to find out!

The little Alfa Giulietta Chris raced in the Fordwater Trophy makes an appearance too. So if you're missing motorsport already after a frantic 2013 season, allow Chris to talk you through one of the year's highlights. It's pretty special.

Enjoy.

Stop rubbing it in Chris. We all want your job.

No seriously, this was 18 of my minutes well spent. Amazing race, and great video and footage of it.

Chris you have to be proud of that, makes for fantastic viewing. I assume a large glass of Ardbeg or similar was consumed in celebration...

Wow, got quite emotional watching that Chris.

Have been to the Revival and it is indeed a wonderful event. It's great to see the action and passion from a different perspective.

Lovely stuff. Driving the first half of the hour and getting the lead was definitely the better deal, driving that car, or any of those cars, in the wet like that would have been a very very scary thing considering how much those cars are worth. Well done to Mr Harris and Mr Reid.

+1

No pseudo overtaking using DRS, no multi-21, and no booing the winner. Heaven.

Looks like a lovely day out - job well done there!!

How much is that car worth - roughly - assuming the owner ever wanted to sell it then? smile

Genuinely made some "Come one Lad!" type noises in the battle for 1st. Not seen racing that exciting for ages. Even going to Goodwood is on the bucket list now. It's definitely in my top 5 Monkey videos.

Mr Harris I doff my cap. That was a fantastic job well done in a car you don't know well and a circuit you have no great knowledge of. You should be truly proud of your achievement. Anthony did an absolutely stirling job in horendous conditions. One of the most exciting videos I have watched in ages and yes I was shouting come on lads, almost there smile

Absolutely superb video and what a motor racing!

Chris, I want to see you next year at Le Mans Classic 2014 driving a Porsche 917 or something special like the Lister. Please, keep working on this.

Cheers!

Wonderfully put together video. Makes a really interesting story.

Minor point, but it's bugging me now. Whatever recording setup you use for voice over has a god awful hum!
