Obviously he's a first class eejit, but I couldn't help chuckle at the name.

Why can't sterilization be a sentence?

"The judge said he made no order for compensation because Pratt had no job or money."

That is just so wrong...

It used to be in late 1930s Germany

I agree. It's disgusting. I fail to see as a society how it can be acceptable to make such an unwelcome intrusion into someone's life and walk away owing them nothing. All that suspended sentence nonsense is well and good but the crown dishing out punishments does nothing for the family who have suffered real, physical and measurable loss.

150 hours of unpaid work is nothing, is it?

He's got no money so why fine him? Being made to work is probably the harshest thing a layabout yob like that could possibly think of. I bet he was hoping for a couple of months inside sat on his arse.

Not good about the house and also the car the Pratt hit.
Another yob still loose on the streets to carry on upsetting and causing harm to others.

Bloody disgusting.

150 hours is about 3 weeks to the average contractor, maybe 4 to the average staff employee. Whoopie do.

The people directly impacted by this tosser's actions will get precisely zero benefit or compensation from 150 hours painting old iron railings in a park somewhere.

What a tool.

What really ticks me off is that it's a piddly amount of work which equates to barely three weeks.

I suspect that the family whose house was wrecked do not want to see Pratt again but I'm certain they would like him to suffer far more since presumably they have had to endure huge amounts of hassle and disruption in their lives.

So let's get this right.

He writes of his auntie's car - he's caused about £15k's worth of damage to her.
He destroys that family's living room - call it £30k's worth of damage to them? More if serious structural work is required.

He gets 4 weeks-worth of unpaid work (for which he probably won't turn up for anyway) and 18 months sat on his arse being homed and fed by the taxpayer. Maybe more if he doesn't turn up for his unpaid work.

150 hours work is less than £1k at minimum wage. Just doesn't seem proportionate does it?

Doesnt seem like much of a punishment, I think a month at her majestys pleasure, and not the usual cushy gentlemens club type prison, proper hard time and a five year ban would be appropriate.

Quite. I figure he owes two people a total of around 2 years' labour, plus his punishment from the crown for breaking national laws.

Tristar homes = social housing, so it won't cost the occupants much. Local Council Tax payers will be the losers.

Pretty much sums it up. I was similarly outraged reading about this idiot this morning :| Our fair justice system at work.
