Gijs van Lennep Classic 2015

Clap hands for this lovely 1928 Lancia Lambda, 7th series car (3,100 built) with the bigger 2.4 SOHC V4 engine.
Mind you, most 20s cars had bigger engines to haul the weight (1200 kgs). This V4 is a technical masterpiece. Lancia had their act together. Shame this legendary brand is now lost.
Compared to the handfull Bentleys around this Lancia was a breath of fresh air.
Patina all over the place the Lambda was no show queen.
More Lancia.
More Zagato yum:
Rare Appia GTE and Junior 105 Zagato. Personally I think the (1967) Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint Zagato is the better looker.
Lancia Appia GTE is a rare Zagato styled 820 kgs car.
Wikipedia says: It is estimated that total GTE production amounts to 167 with the earlier 53 PS engine, and 134 with the later 60 PS one.
1.1 litre V4 and what a beauty.
Never saw an Appia before - a tiny work of art.
Next: GvLL rally is a Porsch fest, so ...

356 yumness.
In my eye the 356 is one of the few cars that look great in both coupe and speedster format.
Even with the top up this looks mega.
Pagode roadster oh yeah.
Fast road spec 356 fuel filler cap.
911T in the early morning sun: in 1967 the 2 litre boxer 6 (110 hp) 911T was launched and replaced the (90 hp 356) boxer 4 912.
Netherlands in the 70s and 80s > Porsches for highway patrol.
Next: contemporary visitors.
1964 Ferrari 330 GT:
Pininfarina loveliness with a 4 litre Colombo V12
Cooling down.
John Lennon bought one in 1965. The 330 GT is a practical GT which is ideal for family use.
I bet it is.
The 330 GT standing out from the lesser appreciated 400 - still a superb GT!
