Horribly bright, blueish tinted lights
Discussion
What the hell are these monstrosities? Had a vehicle behind tonight (Pug 207) that had the most horrible lights fitted. They were piercingly bright, seemed to cut into my eyes and had a glaring blue tint to them.
They surely can't be legal as they were worse than full beam and were dipped.
What sort of muppet fits this st to their car?
Oh yes, I did pop the central mirror to its dimmed setting, but the lights still glared at me through the wing mirrors. It was like I was stuck in a spot light trying to escape from a mental institution.

Badly fitted HID kit, all the kids have them because they want you to think they're 207 verve came with xenon lights :-)
Mostly on Mark 5 golfs around here.I know there are owners that aren't chavs, but loads of them seem to be covered in stty plastic parts, seem lowered far too much and driven by people who have one hand on top of the steering wheel whilst leaning over the gear knob.

The car that is the choice of the chav.

Do they also have the seat back at a rakish angle?I know there are owners that aren't chavs, but loads of them seem to be covered in stty plastic parts, seem lowered far too much and driven by people who have one hand on top of the steering wheel whilst leaning over the gear knob.

I guessed they were HID, but it was like they were on steroids.
Really, really bright. Far more instense than any kit I have seen in the past.
I suspect I saw similar this morning. Miserable drive down the M4 in drizzle and I spotted a car in my rear view that had lights that almost looked like blue police lights at first glance. Very bright and with a very strong blue time to them. I don't think I've seen lights quite like them before. Really, really bright. Far more instense than any kit I have seen in the past.
I'm amazed the fanboys of these kits haven't arrived to say that their kit doesn't dazzle and they need them because the standard lights are soooo bad they are dangerous. Some have to drive down country roads, shock horror, where there are no streetlights and big nasty ditches and rocks.

I'm certainly not a fan of the after-market kits, but I've never found them to dazzle any worse than OEM HiDs. It tends to be the OEM HiDs on SUVs which I find most dazzling; after-market ones on normal cars are usually fine.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
