Jerk in a Merc (Reg T9 TSK) has a dispute with cyclist
Discussion
Ah, the title implies it is you.

At the moment you got all shouty, there still seems to be about a cars length between the two Mercs, rather going against your assertion.
I suspect that is a trick of the camera, and when someone tries to close a gap in a car and your cycling there is not much you can do, unless you fancy going under the car.Edited by SteveSteveson on Sunday 14th February 18:44
You were in the wrong there mate sorry. You pulled out knowing that if someone blocked you or the oncoming car sped up that you'd put yourself in danger. Little videos and threads aside why put yourself at risk with that much traffic around and knowing that so many people are numpties? You never ride anything on the wrong side of the road expecting someone (especially a merc driver ffs) to let you in and care about your safety.
Whilst it would have been better driving for the Mercedes not to close the gap, it is the cyclist who was in the wrong. An error which he compounded by choosing, instead of mitigating his risk, to get all shouty with the car driver.
I'd also say that the riding up to that point was pretty irresponsible for the prevailing conditions.
Frankly, the sort of behaviour that gives those of us who cycle a bad rep.

READ THE THREAD. Ffs.
"As I approach he’s leaving at least a cars length between him and the car in front. However as I start to overtake he closes the gap between himself and the car in front leaving me to face an oncoming car (Honda LD63 PJJ) head-on with nowhere to go"
So one car's length between two cars is enough for cyclists to jump into now is it? Good to hear.

The Merc hardly closed the gap at all - if your overtake will fail if a car moves a few feet then it isn't a safe opportunity.
