Since we've had the "innit, bruv?" thread, how about a thread on the "how do you do?" and "would you like a cup of tea?" crowd?

Round my end, it seems to be a mish-mash of French and German cars.

Sorry, us middle class dont have manors, we have locales.

And since you ask RAV4, only the foolish have anything non-Japanese - we value reliability!1

Around here is awash with discovery 4s. I have never seemed a chavved up one, and all seem to be driven by well to do women, farmers, or towing a trailer.

Although I have one, I am the exception as I’m not really middle class or well to do. I do own a gilet though and look like a failed land agent.

There is definite inverse car snobbery in the part of London I live in. Toerags drive flashy German cars and LR products. Posh media types drive Kia’s, Hyundai’s and at best a Lexus NX.

For the ladies, there are 4 Evoques within 50 yards of our house, one of which belongs to the Mrs. Hateful things.

I see a fair few Teslas, Qashqai, but weapon of choice seems to be a Jag or German metal for the middle management types. All driven sensibly and washed on a Sunday afternoon.

Special mention goes to the chap driving his 03 Shogun everywhere, 240k miles, and has owned it from new. Top bloke as well.

I think you will go a long way to beat a Range Rover, provided it’s not new, or ‘blinged’ in any way.

I think Land Rover Discovery, VW Golf, Touareg or surprisingly Vauxhall Insignia. I see a lot of them around here being driven by middle class, maybe even slightly posh people. Not so much elsewhere!

I think until recently the only car dealership for a mainstream brand around here was Vauxhall so normal people who aren't that bothered just went there. It closed recently so I guess that'll change over the next few years

Before that, there was a Rover dealership and I think the Insignia took over the role of the 75 and MG ZT here

Jag XK convertibles driven by white-haired gents; Land Rovers, a Maserati SUV (name escapes me); a couple of McLarens and Ferraris and most impressively, what looked like a respectable mid to lates 60s lady in a bright yellow newish 911.
