Teamspeed.com's very special photoshot about the BMW i8 without stickers in Abu Dhabi is around the world.

I've just had an instant orgasm TBH.

Looks like it was designed by Sony or Grundig or someone. Probably sell well in Japan.

Give me a nice traditional Aston over that thing anytime.

Looks like something you'd see in a low quality "future style" driving arcade game. I.e pants

BMW have lost the plot styling wise.

Such a shame - the last car I liked my them was the E39.

Not sure what the side impact protection comment has to do with whether it looks good, tbh ... If it ever gets produced, you will undoubtedly be able to spec it with same-colour bodywork and without the see-through doors.

I like it, it looks fresh and modern. I hope what is underneath is similarly interesting.

As far as I know, they mentioned an inline 3 cylinder TD Hybrid solution. Sounds odd.

Yes, I just did some googling and see that it will probably be rear mounted 3 pot TD hybrid with a total of 328hp, four wheel drive via an electric front motor. It looks like it is a 4 seater too. ISTRC that they are going for a very light weight around the 1000kg mark?

The only bits of that car that will ever see production are the nose and the tail IMO, since they're the only bits that look like proper car. Most likely an idea of where the next 3 series will go with styling.
