Why is it that morons cross the road without looking, or even worse see you heading in their direction and cross anyway? Whilst anyone with two brain cells and a reasonable judgement of distance/speed knows the gap isn't large enough!! And that if they step out the car will have to slow down.

I have noticed this appears to be worse with ‘chavs’ and drunk individuals or people who just don’t give a fk. Never had an incident to date with a suit or other respectable individual of society.

What do you guys usually do? Continue at normal speed or accelerate up to the speed limit? Brake?

Once had a young girl with her headphones in just walk infront of the family car, good job we had clocked her because she was oblivious!

See crazy people on a daily basis in any city centre who see a car coming yet decide to just stroll out infront of it casually. Generally find a pip of the horn 'to alert others to my presense' causes a suitable amount of embarrassment for them. wink

Bloke with headphones stepped out in front of me from behind a bush. A lot of swearing later and all i get from him was "you should watch where you're going". If it wasn't for my passenger, he'd have been headless by now.

I had a guy come out infront of me lying down on a skateboard from behind a wall. He was lucky I was only doing 5mph or so. Should have seen the look on his face.

Sometimes I can't stop myself from telling them:

"Where do you keep your freakin eyes, in your pocket, mate?!"

Special type of suicidal morons are those stupid kids with earphones plugged in and constantly texting.

About a month ago I saw a school girl randomly bolt into the road without looking, came with in a few inches of being hit. Must have scared the st out of the driver that was observably well awake at the time, when I think about it I don't imagine some of the less capable drivers I know could have avoided that accident or reacted fast enough.

Girl blamed her friends for chasing her - moron.

Something else happens immediately after that was interesting - a stty barryboyed Vectra sped past well above the speed limit and a lady nearby said something to the effect 'look at that speeding, how dangerous tut tut what if the girl had jumped out now' but the thing is had the noisy (sty) Vectra replaced the well driven quite car she probably would have heard it coming and not gone into the road in the first place.

+1 Hybrid cars may be saving the planet, but at the cost of potential accidents and direct loss of human life!

I've noticed this a lot over the last couple of years. Even approaching in a noisy lorry, clattering and banging along doesn't seem to make an impression. I know them as Ipod zombies.

My brother, a usually fairly sensible chap, once was crossing the road in Bristol and just as he stepped on to the pavement on the other side says he became suddenly aware of a bus screeching to a halt right behind him. He had clearly crossed right in front of it, but had no idea how he failed to see it sooner. He says he realised then where the expression "you could get hit by a bus tomorrow" comes from...

Sily bint ran across the road straight in front of me yesterday 20yds from a pedestrian crossing. Typical chavvy slut - trackies and scraped back hair. I hit the brakes from 20, and the horn. She turned round, gave me the finger and shouted a mouthful of abuse. All while still stood in my carriageway. Stupid bint.

I very much doubt it!
If you don't look when you cross the road, you're probably already living on borrowed time! hehe

It was even worse when we had all the snow, no pedestrian bothered to check the road was clear before stepping onto it mad

Because they know you'll stop.

Irritates the hell out of me because despite anything you do to try and teach them a lesson, they know, and so do you, that you'll stop.

Kids on foot and pushbikes do it around my way. And by kids I mean 6-12.

One WILL get run over one day and no doubt there will be outrage by Kyle or Chelsea's parents...

That is exactly why I bought a 5-litre TVR.

Yup, its an arrogant attitude that really irks me. The "sport" is seeing how close you can get to them, that usually gives them a suprise!

The art is changing down and nailing it so your door mirror clips their arse as they jump for it. I had to stop doing that with the 90 though because they tend to take the pedestrian's head off at the knees.
