Probably best to buy both.
This is, of course, the answer. 0a was trying to trick us.

Never mind, I'd still have one if I could afford it.
This sums it up for me. The wantage is really important, and I just don't feel it for the objectively 'better' modern cars.

I guess those of us that that like the flawed cars of our youth/today's classics are similarly flawed in terms of judgement, which is why we frequent threads like this.

If I could find one of those I'd want it regardless of cost. Looks fantastic.

Lovely indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if it went for more than 10.

Brilliant stuff.

What a pity that most of the major manufacturers aren't making this sort of stuff anymore. Where is Vauxhall's 2017 equivalent of that?

I make no apologies for going slightly over budget for this one.

Toyota Century V12.
I'd love to have that, but am not sure I'd ever love owning it.

I like the look of this but don't know much about w123 mercs. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C833103

That would be utterly wonderful to drive slowly.

Great car. Great colours. Diesel = meh.

I bet a 17 year old in Tower Hamlets wouldn't pay £112 per year to insure it laugh
I suspect ghetto-kids woudn't want to be seen dead in a car like that.

A little closer to home and lovely spec and colours, just a smidge over thread budget

Looks nice. Is that the going rate for these now? Seems a little pricey to me.

This looks fun. Probably about as quick as tectonic shift, but longer-lasting.

The cherry on top is the disguised front number plate.

XJS Lynx cabrio. Decent number plate, looks in good nick.

The cabrio was always a little ungainly but it's an interesting car and has the right number of cylinders.
