I didn't say 3 seconds.....I said 3ish. Big difference.
Fair enough, though presumably anything over 3.5seconds thereofre becomes '4ish'? biggrin

How did you time it, then?

4.9 seconds. Verified on a dyno.
Ummm... You can't measure acceleration rates on a dyno...

Wrt modern cars and repeated standing starts, was most impressed that the MP4-12C could do LC start after LC start ad infinitum with no issues. Unlike a Nissan GTR smile

Will borrow the Vbox from work and measure my mighty BX Turbo Diesel and come back with a REAL figure. Probably north of 15s...
hehe I knew that would get a few comments. It was done on a dyno after a remap that had a simulated quarter mile. Obviously there is drag and all that malarkey to take into account but I don't think 4.9 is too out of the question. Will take her to Santa Pod soon and see what it really is.

Only 1200 bhp on alcohol and nitrous.........

Oh and his helmet and leathers arent quite as good as in the video after he 'fell off' at 180 mph and sprained his little finger...........If you look his left leg comes out as the bike has a tendency to go left , henec the ejection at Pod at the end of last season...........

..and not many owners would want to, myself included. (Too mechanically sympathetic to subject my p&j to the kind of abuse required to achieve the ultimate '0-60' time)
I can understand this if you own an Evo with super grippy tyres. Quite a lot of cars, especially FWD could launch 10 times a day for a year with no mechanical problems. Tyres may need to be changed more often than usual though.

Erm, once I had the backseats out completely to make room for moving some furniture. On the way back, on a slight downhill, I did 0-60 in a staggering 10 seconds!

I know right, rocketship!

Although the 60 on your speedo was actually 58 and your counting to 10 was actually closer to 12. Sorry buddy tongue out

(I actually worked it out properly, 0-65 indicated, but thats neither here nor there.)
If it counts, I drove a ford mustang v8 GT once, which was rather quick?

Not timed mine, book time is around 7.3 seconds but Evo tested one at 6.9 seconds which is probably about right (500 Abarth Esseesse, 160bhp and 1 ton kerb weight = :-))
