I believe the current amount is half a million.

(1)Section 143 of this Act does not apply to a vehicle
owned by a person who has deposited and keeps
deposited with the Accountant General of the [F3Senior Courts]
the sum of [F4£500,000], at a time when the vehicle
is being driven under the owner’s control.

Congrats on being able to afford a great car OP, I'm sure you will love it, i'm sure it has been mentioned but try to get some time where you can explore the car in a controlled environment, then if, god forbid something were to happen, then you might have a better chance of recovery.

As for insurance, I would have recommended Adrian Flux a while ago, I insured with them on a Supra TT when I was 20ish. They havent given me a decent quote recently.

As for the jealousy of your mates etc, I've never understood it, there is always someone richer than you, smarter than you, better looking etc. Just be the best person you can is what I live by!

Ha, my parents said this to me earlier today. Just as a precaution.
I would take note mate, your business is very young and not long established. You're making good profit now but that may change very quickly. At your age I would spend a bit and enjoy yourself but leave us much in the business as possible to weather a storm or possibly sell one day and pay 10% entrepreneurs tax....
Appreciate the advice! smile

Hi,

I tried 'emailing' you on here. But I'm a new member and got the 'Sorry, the email service isn't available to new members for the first 24 hours' message. Any other way I can contact you?
Assuming you joined at some point today (yesterday) email me when the 24 hrs have passed. I'm out and about at the mo and won't be back home 'till late Sunday anyway. As a previous poster has asked, have you already bought or are you looking for one? I have a couple of private contacts that are looking to dispose of theirs.

Yeah true, I don't see the need to be jealous though. Fair enough if I was given it or something. But I've worked my ass off for the past few years so I deserve it!!!

Don't hate, congratulate wink

No no, definitely cash! It would be stupid to get a 'super car' (if you consider it a super car) on finance!

Yes well, that's a bit vague. 200, 220 or 230?

Did you have any NCB when you insured with them at 25?
I honestly can't remember, I think I had 2 years as I was on our company mini fleet policy for a couple of years which meant I had to start again with the 2 cars previous to the Maserati as I didn't build no claims for a few years on the fleet policy.

You've managed to create a company that generates substantial profits every day and yet you don't know how to research for a couple of insurers of high powered cars for younger drivers?!

I WISH my parents would buy an R8 for me..

But I decided to get off my ass at a young age and started a company, which generates substantial amounts of profit every day - Thats enough about me..

Most people are jealous, even my friends - What can ya do!! biggrin
"That's enough about me.." And not saying what cars you've had before is arising suspicion. Maybe do the custard test and show us the car and name the company so we know its not all BS?

So let me get this straight - If you have over £500k in the bank, you do not need insurance??
