I would rather dip my man sack in chili powder.
One of the best opening comments for some time. When you climb back out - hot to the core - you too will then be exactly like this uber-cool timeless Sexy Subaru !
Ok so I'm biased as hell ! having wanted one for yonks - I finally bought one about a month back, the looks and the drive are fantastic, people stop, stare and smile - some ask what it is, and I enjoy every mile I drive it. SVX's are rare, very comfortable and suprisingly economical.(what other car can claim this in the way one of these can?)
Have to say that the silver grey one here does not look the best in that colour, mine is in "2012 back in vouge" Pearl White with a gloss Black roof - Subaru just knew that the colour would come back into fashion again 20 years later ! To my eye my car with its new alloys could for looks be only a few years young !!
Here is mine - hope you like it !
Each to their own eh? Mr Chilli Fetish Powder !
I like these. I like most daft/querky Japanese stuff. One could make a very good car for winter with the right tyres on it.
Done a few too many miles though.

I very nearly bought one of these back in the day. So glad I opted for a Fiat Coupé instead!
The Subaru wasn't quite understeery enough for you? 1111giles said:
Dont stop there (He who sounds like a Bland Eurobox fan)why not just jump in the chilli powder for 100% immersion and finish the job off ?

Now that's smart. Did I read that you can get these with a manual gearbox? or is it a homebrew job. Love the pickup too. When you climb back out - hot to the core - you too will then be exactly like this uber-cool timeless Sexy Subaru !

seems a lot of car for that money(on 1st view).... also imo its an interesting car.......but:
"....There are a few odd rust bubbles, mainly around the rear arches, but nothing major. There are also a few scratches and scuffs...." "aircon needs probably regasing" " servobelt slips when cold" (but a already present replacement hasnt been fitted) rings the warning bells. this car might eat up your money faster than you can earn it.
it something major fails soon, its more or less a write off. and it hurts throwing away 850,-pound.
it wouldnt hurt so much throwing away 450,- instead.

WRX / STI Impreza 5 speed box and legacy pedal box are the main ingrediants for the conversion. Transforms the car apparently into a sporty snorting monster !!
If my auto box spits its dummy out - I will seriously look at doing this swap ! Lots of info about this on SVX forum.
Also seen a write up on the 6 speed box conversion - IF you can get your hands on one that is !!!!
Thx re the MV1800 - bought as a rolling shell stripped out 3 years ago now fully restored with extras such as A/C, PAS, Weber, rear discs, DAB Sound, C/L, Speedliner, Thatcham alarm, Forester Seats, Glass out respray, too many new parts to list oh.... and bucket loads of FUN !
Cheers
