They can look fantastic when done properly but I think they also need to look dirty and well used for best effect, concourse looking liveried cars look a bit silly and deliberately showy for my tastes.

I`ve always preferred subtle Q cars though so it`s probably just not to my preference.
As always, if the owner/driver likes it then all fair play to them as long as they are happy with it.

May attract too much of the wrong sort of attention too, Police are more likely to take notice of a liveried up rally-rep than a discreetly painted example all other things being equal.
That and chav nob-heads trying it on with you at every set of lights as my mate found out in his liveried-up Impreza. He de-stickered it within a month as he just got sick of unwanted attention.

Agree

It did have issues blown head gasket being one of the main things got offered stupidly low amounts for it in the end it was worth more breaking it up and weighing the shell in.

Often the way. I've seen lots of very well built, nice specced Imprezas being broken for parts. Saw a p1 recently for sale at £10k, the owner had spent £25k on it and ended up breaking it cause it wouldn't sell.

Tend to find a lot of modified cars get broken up for bits, as they just don't sell for anything near what they are worth.

Advertising brands on my car. No thanks.
We all do it anyway, the manufacturer, the dealer on the plates and the rear window. How many have Brembo or Ap on the brakes?

Makes me want to de-badge, I will put them back when they pay me commission for them advertising on my car...

Do you own a football shirt?

People don't seem half as bothered when it comes to sports bikes, it's almost expected.

Most of the liveries advertise stuff not even motoring related, like the rizzla suzukis.

Favourite for me is the durex suzukis!

Some Lancer Turbo's (like mine smile ) Came pre painted from the dealers in the White / Orange scheme mirroring the Rally colours of the time (Another option was White/ Black). According to the numbers, about 30 or so of the 500 produced had the "Rally kit" of white / orange, and only 11 white / black.

Not sure if a dealer / manufacturer option qualifies. BTW, anyone who can suggest a company local to Ipswich able to do vinyl stickers then please let me know, as mine had a repaint before I owned it, so I've decided to use vinyl instead.

Out of interest, no driving lights? Have you got an oil cooler or something mounted there?
Its a funny thing with those STi Type-R and RA versions, at least some of them never came with driving lights from the factory - just a STi branded plastic cover over the holes where they would have been.

I guess its marginally lighter but the accountants probably loved it too, leaving bits out and charging more for it! hehe

I think that's a P1, which did come with driving lights...

Admittedly this is more than just stickers, but this Viva HB has been done up as a DTV replica and I've seen it at several sprints over the last couple of years. Very nicely done.

If you still have the stock tmic, prolonged speeds of >100mph can cause significant harm. Apparently the stock scoop doesn't suck in enough air to keep intake temps down at over 100mph. Sti scoops and tmic are better but fmic trumps all.
At high speed the air comes off the leading edge of the bonnet and up over the top of the standard scoop starving the tmic of air.
Basically the scoops not high enough.

There used to be an Octavia with the WRC livery on it nearby a few years ago.

Looked absolutely ridiculous.

Are they not fog lights on the road cars? They're obviously not spot lights judging by the number of tossers driving around with them switched on.

That'll be the 'limited edition' Octavian VRS. Yes, Skoda did sell some like that.
