For what it's worth, another way to think about this is as follows: the P1 decelerates like this:
from 300km/h to 200km/h in 1.7s, then
from 200km/h to 100km/h in 1.6s, then
from 100km/h to 000km/h in 2.9s.

Edited to add the minimum "g" forces you'd experience, assuming the decelerations were linear, and averaged over each criteria.
300-200km/h in 1.7s is 1.66g
200-100km/h in 1.6s is 1.76g
100-000km/h in 2.9s is 0.97g

In other words, the high speed braking performance of the P1 is utterly off the charts.
My own opinion: I'd go as far as to say that the only way these numbers are possible is via downforce and the big wing acting as an airbrake.

Bearing in mind that the P1 will do a launch from 0-100km/h in 2.8s, the braking performance of 100km/h to 0 in 2.9s is sort of weird. It's too "normal" compared to the other numbers.

Please provide evidence the TTS out brakes the GT3RS 4.0.

And also quotes where TG say the P1 is not fastest thing they've driven.

Thank you.
I have timed both from 100mph....Just for you on the way back from the gym later I will test again..fyi The 991tts discs are from the 918.....bigger than 4.0rs

Read the article on line....Would love to know what was faster.
You timed them. Ok.....

And how did you go about that?

What online article are you referring to?

Daft question. Quite obviously he has full access to all sorts of the latest timing gear, gps boxes, officials in white coats with a flag and a stopwatch . . . etc

But no custard.

No idea what you're on about. As usual.

So no real evidence at all then.

And no TG quotes either.

Just your say so...

Retard

It's French for "Slow". I assume he's talking about brakes*.

Much less downforce at 100kmh to help with the braking compared to at 300kmh perhaps. At 100kmh without underfloor fans no car will be producing very much downforce.

Braking between the 2 cars probably is tyre limited so I doubt the 991 turbo s running much bigger discs is going to change very much and it weighs a good bit more than the 4.0 rs.

troll? I own most if not all the cars I comment on. Or if not I have driven them.....as in P1, 918, ect
Yep. Weapons grade troll. I pointed out your quick back pedalling when presented with real data, only for you to point out my (perceived lack of driving credentials) by having a dig at my peasant's pork. Just the sort of thing a troll would do (before quickly editing it out!).

Well done, you big rich-man-on-the-internet-who-owns-these-cars, you.

Another thing trolls fail to do is consider that they may be wrong, if all who've driven these cars contradict your perception of P1's braking performance, then maybe its just you?

Sport Auto recorded a 100km/h - 0 distance for the 997 Turbo S at 31.7m
Source: http://www.dragtimes.ru/files/blog/e9785ab5d04e5ce...

McLaren's figure for the P1 on the same metric is 30.2m (for those who can't be bothered to read the history of the thread where more complete stats are available for the P1).

Given the P1's performance from 300km/h to 200km/h and from 200km/h to 100km/h, I'd be utterly shocked if the 911 (997) Turbo S came anywhere close to the braking performance of it overall.

The kind of trolls who really DO own lots of exotic cars, but act like tools anyway, are the ones we should really feel sorry for.

Now PH is full of people with lots of fast car experience. I like the classic car scene as well, which has people in it with more money than even APOLO can dream of. What PH has in common with some of these people in the classic scene (that I am fortunate enough to class as friends), is that they are people with some class. I've met people with $30m tied up in cars who have childish enthusiasm and love to share experiences. They don't play games, they don't score points, they have no desire to impress anyone. They have no ego.

And then there are supercar owners like APOLO. Who have lots of ego. They only want the cars because it gives them "bragging rights". It is all about them. Its not about the cars. The cars are merely there to make them the centre of attention.

They don't know how uncool they are. So we can pity them. We can do better. So just let them brag along and play with themselves. There are plenty of genuine owners of P1 and 918 here, as well as F40's, F50, Enzo's, Veyrons, F1's, anything you care to name, who can talk about their cars with grace and eloquence. APOLO ain't one of them. So let him get on with playing with himself while the rest of us have fun with the real PH'ers.
