When he pulls away out of his driveway it doesn't appear to have a 1st or even 2nd gear. I'm sure he's trying to pull away in 3rd gear for some reason?
I like the estimated 3 second 0-60 time and top speed of nearly 200mph. I would pay good money to see him attempting to do either, particularly the latter, which I'm quite confident would end in a ball of flames and a large quantity of car and human body parts being strewn everywhere

I like the estimated 3 second 0-60 time and top speed of nearly 200mph. In all his videos of it I've not seen one that shows it doing more than about 20mph.

a good example of why I am no fan of kit Cars
"Please remember this is not a kit car, it is entirely handmade from scratch. I understand that some people may be able to make moulds from the body and make kits for the MR2." ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)

His story is unclear. Did it ever have a Jag V12 fitted?
"when the Zonda had its V12 Jag engine." I wonder what happened to it?! ![scratchchin](/inc/images/scratchchin.gif)

"Customs valued the car at $150,000 (BD56,500) but Mr Truman believes that the number will have increased exponentially since the car's completion earlier this month."
LOL!!
Shudder - I really hope no one was foolish enough to pay the import duty on that sort of money, for that!?!LOL!!

Sorry, hadn't spotted that.
In any case, it's not road legal.P-Jay said:
There's a video called "3rd engine lucky" or words to that effect on his YouTube account, I have a sneaking one he killed it.
One of the articles says "The V12 engine which originally inspired Truman’s replica Zonda has since been broken beyond repair. "I like this where its getting a final wash & brush up before the off...?![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Why pay the expense of shipping it? Better just to dump it.![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Well... it will be interesting to see what the final sale price is on eBay considering all the internet publicity this thing has had.
He states in the advert that it is still registered as a Ford Scorpio. I really hope no one buys it with the view to just taking it for an MOT then simply taxing/insuring their 'Ford Scorpio' because they will get a horrible surprise.

I do know that if you touch the throttle you have to make sure your head is right back as the acceleration is quite violent.
That's going some for a car that's never had the turbos spooled.
LOL! Well spotted. That's going some for a car that's never had the turbos spooled.
I would love to know what goes inside these people's heads. They must literally see something imagined rather than reality.
The poor chap has just added an attempted rebuttal of some of the criticism over on the other thread (do we really need two?)
Either way it is worth reading.

Im probably less health & safety conscious than most people, but that would be appear to be a machine designed to kill a human being as efficiently and messily as possible.
Flat out through Eau Rouge in that anyone? Either 1 million man points or a Darwin Award await...
