And the rear arches, they just dont suit the rest of the car.

The nonsense at the bottom of the front bumper, the stupid trims on the sills and the way the mirrors stick up out of the doors like an afterthought.

In fact the CLS is a complete design mess actually!

Yep!

Actually I have a theory on the sort of person who buys/drives a CLS, but it's probably best not vocalised on here.... borne out by 90% of them I see though winkbiggrin

If it's a Paceman or Countryman then Austria?
Or India or Malaysia or Thailand.
There's no way a EDM vehicle is being shipped from Asia-Pacific if there's a plant in Europe.

The little triangle panels either side of the rear glass on F-type coupe - has to be there so the rear part of the deck can raise up as a spoiler, but really is a very nasty point on what is otherwise an almost perfect looking car:

The bonnet line on the new MX5 is absolutely atrocious and really spoils the nose for me, I can't understand wh it's not taken more flak. It's also angled so that the gap is really really obvious on a light coloured car. Who signed off on this?!

I think there's something wrong on that one - I've seen production ones with a much nicer nose gap than that.

Alfa 4C door mirror ruins the look far more than the oft talked about headlights for me.

Alfa 145 windows - the little dogleg in the front door window, the weird rear side windows and that V in the rear screen. Just awkward all round.

The door mirrors aren't great, but the mess of lines and angles and slashes and scoops and swages at the back of the door is far worse, I think.

The newest Astra is just random nonsense. It's never been a looker, but a replacement model shouldn't be uglier than it's dad.

The whole rear end of the new Prius and the massive vertical light strip

Saw one drive past and instantly had to look away

Saw one for the first time last week, from the front it's very respectable then I saw the back! Dear god!
That looks like it's pooping another car out the back, much like the BMW i8 looks like it's taking a 911-shaped dump:

View out for the short arses in the back.
Vaguely interesting window lines OK in my book, especially the Alfa otherwise its just a bread van.

How many awkward design details can you inflict on one vehicle?

Ah yes. Described by Top Gear as having been bottled in a bar fight and stitched back together. Tracked this down at the London Motor Show a few years ago just to take the pixs out of the poor guy 'showing it off' on the stand.

Everything about the newest Jazz

I have a bag i stole from an aeroplane in my car just in case I am unfortunate enough to see some old person pranging one into a bollard at my local supermarket....

Fixed spoilers on any Audi TT - they go against the rest of the styling on the car.

And that would make the BMW badge the ()*() eeek!

(This is particularly bad news as I drive a 320d)

Not the car, just the badge.
It's almost as if the folk at VW saw that actually, it's a good car, lets give it a st badge just to re-enforce it's supposed to be cheaper than the jetta...

That looks like they got to the final design sign-off & suddenly realised the boot wasn't big enough so had to add a bit

The penchant for putting the exhausts in a little box of their own.
Can't comprehend the reasoning for this - it just looks stuck on.
Examples are everywhere: from the Ferrari F12TDF to the Type R Civics posted elsewhere here.
