As a silhouette, great. As soon as you add light, "my eyes, my eyes". Front is some sort of weird 21st century hommage to the old Griffith, whilst somehow also managing to be equal parts Japanses (a mate says RX-8) and Merc SLS, plus it's already dated. The rear reminded me of an XJ220, though the Toyota concept is a good point. I do wonder if aero forces packaging to a degree, but still, uncannily similar is being kind.
It has no wow factor for me.
The photos are awful.
The interior looks horrible, mismatched, plasticy and like someone looked at all the bits they had, a load of pics of old TVRs and said, right, I'll fit this, into that, using nothing but this. Tom Hanks did better.
Add to that they aren't delivering the first cars for 18 months and I do wonder if we'll ever see one turn an actual wheel. Or anything other than the contracted launch editions produced. I hope they are able to get cars out to the press asap, prove it's a brilliant drive and fill an order book thanks to Harris, Clarkson et al giving it the mainstream thumbs up. If either TG or GT review it pre-producion and it goes a bit Caparo, it'll be curtains.

I see a bit of Sagaris at the back with the boomerang shape of the light and vent. The long bonnet is like a cerbera. Side profile very T350 and the front lights look like an evolution of T350. Wheels aren't great for me but I think the proportion looks good, just the design is off. Love the side pipes.

That's more to do with calibration than being EPAS. I mean in a blind test, back to back with something HPAS and EPAS without you knowing what's what. It's possible to match HPAS steering feel with the modern systems, but it depends how much calibration effort goes in to it. BMW and Audi are not the most attentive at any of their calibration across any of their systems. And I would actually suggest the feel in the FRS is very good. Far better than the HPAS in a VW Golf Mk5 GTI for instance....How much was the bet?

If only they'd hired a proper photographer - I think under those crap images is a decent looking car.

The pictures contained in the PH article are pretty poor and my first impressions were "oh, dear". However, the link someone helpfully posted to the Goodwood website photos are much better and I think the car looks awesome...other than the front lights and black vents below them. A case of 720S-itis. Sort those and all would be fine. Let's hope it drives well. And works.

Sorry, but I love an 'old' TVR. I'd love one, have considered buying one, and would like to own one if the starts align. I loved the company being British and that TVR = Trevor. What I don't love is the new car. I wasn't waiting for it to bash it. I was genuinely disappointed. I actually said "oh man" out loud. I'm not bashing it because it's cool to do so. Did Les Edgar's dog take those photos in a sort of tribute to the old head of design? The Goodwood ones help a lot, I'm glad they reused the T350 style roofline / rear quarter windows, does make the profile look very nice.
The headlights are dull, they're neither aggressive nor pretty.
Given the time and effort that went in to the press photos, I can only assume those wheels were all Halford's had left in stock on a Thursday night, as they're utter, utter, utter, utter st.
I imagine we'll never know what Cosworth did to the Mustang lump, as ultimately it probably extends as far as getting some plastic strips made up to sit on the cam covers so that it somehow feels excusably British, and flashing on a bit of a remap. The 412bhp rated Coyote crate motors from Ford do reportedly put out strong figures with a set of headers on, I wouldn't imagine they've bothered doing anything else to be honest, it's going to feel pretty fast whatever they do.
Side exit pipes is a fun touch, maybe it'll sound as good as the SLR did
