If I wanted an Audi within which to survive the apocalypse, it'd probably be a late 80s 80.
Good luck finding a decent 80 quattro Avant that hasn't been to the moon. I looked for one 6 or 7 years ago...

The second engine has been fitted for over 4 years and runs fine, goodness knows how many miles it's done but it goes well and uses no oil. I have cleaned out the EGR and inlet manifold a couple of times, which get a bit sooted up.
How did you clean those bits out please? Think mine need doing.

I have owned this model - V6 3.0 quattro sport for 8 years and it's been my 'best' car. We have a Fiat coupe which is fun, an Alfa spider 1972, even more fun and an Alfa GT which is infuriating. The Audi is actually better on fuel than the JTS Alfa and is good fun to drive, 100% reliable and a good tow car that is great in the snow. So far no rust and oid changes, i cam belt and a coil packs is all I've done. Will run this one into the ground, top shed. It just keeps on rolling!
