Mapped to 514 PS and 860Nm by MRC

Purchased at 56K miles and now at 106K miles.

I am the second owner.

Very hard to know what i could replace it with........

It is fast as f*ck.

Typical!

You post your fast Alfa up thinking nobodies put anything Italian up yet and then someone puts up a much faster version of your car straight afterwards!!
Sorry about that.

Does your rear wash wipe cause water issues in the rear passenger footwell?

I love a fast estate. My W204 Merc CDi doesn’t qualify so I’m just admiring the pics. Anyone who can post an RS2 showing some dirt and wearing roof bars in a mountain scene would win it for me

Is it mapped as they don’t come out of he box in that level of performance. Big risk modifying while making the warraanty worthless

No, if you have damp in the passenger side rear footwell it will be because a poor technician broke the seal in the pollen filter housing and water is leaking down into the footwell. Be careful, the gearbox TC ECU is under the front passenger seat and if it is left damp down there it will fail.

I'm sure you know of the RS246 forum, but incase you don't there is 10+ years of wisdom on there.

What a brilliant thread, some lovely cars posted here. I'm a recent convert to estates with an A4 3.0 TDI - its certainly brisk but probably not suitable here. Definitely the best car I have owned though.

Eyeing up a B8 RS4 in the near future, anyone tried one?

I only had it a year 5 years ago this coming Oct.

I stopped using the rear washwipe and it appears to be better but you’d have condensation in the car (then again it was late spring into summer so probably was as you flag).

I disliked the way the box wouldn’t change up to 4th or 5th below a set speed yet it had ample torque to do so. It could easily pull 5th in 39mph but it wouldn’t engage anything above 3rd and 5th was 50mph and above only engagement.

Epically fast / brutal in the top end delivery

The gearchange issue is dealt with by a gearbox map which MRC do at the same time as the ECU map. It enables 4th and 5th to be used at any speed.

I only kept it a year and that was my plan from the off 12 months only and use it inbetween services with fingers crossed nothing went wrong.

Mine was identical to layer cake colour but light interior leather.

I used it as a daily bought on 100k put c20k on it and had fun. But made good friends with fuel stations..... back when fuel was very high.

Knowing how much they're hated on PH, I'll keep quiet about my Golf R Dogbus. wobble

Don't see why anyone would dislike them, I think they are fantastic thumbup

If they made a manual version, I'd have had one on my drive long ago. Lovely things.
