Depends who the insurance company is. Some will not allow it, others will load about 10% to 25% on the premium. Then you have the likes of Greenlight and Sky who wont charge at all.
I had a Sky modified insurance policy for a couple of years - aesthetic modifications were free to declare however any change in engine size/output did carry a premium.

No Its purely a weekend thing !

We have a family member with a breakers yard most insurance company’s are useless putting it mildly. Let’s say we quiet often buy old snotters for the simple reason the insurance companies have no idea it has a 6k engine in an old bmw ! Or don’t care. (E36) running an s54 last week
