The Brawn livery was dreadfully dull and boring too, I think some people just get swept up with the whole feelgood story, not seeing any negativity in any aspect of it.
For me this added to the story, the Brawn was obviously hastilly developed and the livery was basic against the established competition, it was a very visual reminder of the David vs Goliath competition.

It was rushed. They didn't have sponsorship at the start did they?
Wasn't this the Earthdreams time?

I thought they had just run out of paint and so left it white and let the left over flo-vis do the rest.... wink

I've read it elsewhere were people have said the Brawn was a great looking car, I think it was awful, all cars of that era were awful and oddly proportioned with their small rear wings and massive front wings, the wheel trims were dreadful too.

Agreed the regulations at the time lead to some disgusting cars, BMW Sauber/McLaren/Toyota all head 'challenging' shapes on their cars that season.

However the Brawn GP car was a lovely shape, much better design than a lot of the other cars on the grid, funny how many people don't like it because the colours don't suit their tastes!

Finished all episodes of the series, it was alright - majorly disappointed there wasn't a 10 minute segment at the end where JB dug his old championship winner out and gave it a few laps at Silverstone or something. Would have been nice to have seen/heard the car moving again, plus to get Jenson's thoughts on stepping back in to the driver's seat. Missed opportunity IMO.

I actually loved the livery was disappointed when Merc came in and ruined it hehe

As for JB in the BGP001 there was a feature for Sky where he drove it back in 2009 if you want to see that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhZj536_y_Q

This is the RA 207 Earthdreams livery for 2007.

I think it was at the Goodwood F.O.S press preview that year that the car was parked on the lawn outside the House. I was “admiring” the livery when a certain F1 team owner wandered over and said “looks as though someone has vomited over it”.

Quite easy to get his drift…

For anyone who doesn’t subscribe to Disney, this is being shown on National Geographic (Sky 129 and Now TV) on Thursday evenings straight after Car SOS. Enjoyed the first episode.
