don't like it, the proportions don't work for me
You're absolutely right! Those proportions wouldn't work for you at all, your arse would be far too big for any standard trousers and you wouldn't be able to sit comfortably in normal seating either.
was that necessary?

That Aston looks amazing but I really like practical cars like the FF and this where you can chuck a bike in the back.

Like the a110 design too but it's a bit pricey for a rebodied Mégane RS.
You do realise the A110 has the engine in the middle? And drive to the rear wheels rather than the front? And a completely different lightweight aluminium platform? Realise you may be being subtly sarcastic and I may be due a whoosh parrot.. jester

Sadly, many people don't realise that at all. I've noticed this on many Alpine threads. It's quite funny isn't it. Reminds me of my mum, whose husband forbade her from buying a new beetle when they came out 'because rear engined'....d'oh. (She bought one anyway, had it years!)
The fact that he didn’t come back to me to say he got me rather proves the point doesn’t it George? I guess I’d kind of hoped he was taking the mick on a website where you’d think those who commented would at least know where the engine was in a particular car but seemingly that isn’t the case… rolleyes

As an amusing asides my wife nipped up the 40 miles north over Axe Edge to see her dad in our A110 last night night and when she opened the bonnet to get her overnight bag out his next door neighbour who was wheeling his bin out (upon seeing there wasn’t an engine there) asked her what her ‘electric car’ was like to drive. When she told him it wasn’t electric and the engine was in the middle he just said ‘eh?’ biglaugh
Standard car is great, but 500k for a 4 pot turbo with some zagato bodywork - no chance, even though I think it looks pretty enough.

More I look at it, the more I like it. I love the craziness of it with the back story. I’d have to have it in that blue and tribute livery.

Have to take the value out of the equation as it is not aimed for the mass market.

But I appreciate, you are getting something very unique and rare. It isn’t just a styling tweet here and there, the body is totally bespoke. The fact it is based on a well engineered production car is probably a bonus over something bespoke.

I’d hope for 110R+ levels of performance. A manual conversion would be the icing on the cake.

4 cyl turbo, 300ish bhp does look a bit bad for something with a 500k price tag. Would they engineer in something different like a V6?

Wonder whether interior will be just a retrim or something a bit more bespoke?

It’s clearly targeting those who want something others can’t, buying into rarity and Zagato and will already have collections with lots of other special stuff.

If money were no object, I probably would. Depending on a few other details that aren’t known yet, I just like it.

….. and then you’d want the two original examples it is based on!

Better but still polishing a turd really. Shame as the original A110 actually looked quite proportionate.

I meant this one from the picture above my reaction, but maybe we were talking about the same, just checking :-)
